PS4 Features You'd Like to See

The PS4 has already doubled the PS3's number of new features it had when it released. With so many of them being genuinely useful and very well designed the PS4 appears to be the dream console. The price point is lower than the Xbox One and a possible PSVita for the same price as Microsoft's console tips the scales for many gamers. It's got me thinking though. Are there any other features that can secure a successful launch for Sony's baby?

A cool feature I would like to see is a free to play online night. Maybe every Saturday night online multiplayer is free to everyone. It's a stretch and may be completely unrealistic but it's my idea.

I would like to see them more friendly towards mods like Microsoft is doing with its next gen console. The sole reason why PC gaming is better than console gaming is because of mods, at least in my opinion. If Sony can embrace the idea of mods with it's compelling lineup of exclusive games, there is nothing that can ever come close to it.

I don't think that 'mods' is the right word here, what Microsoft is allowing here is user created content to be added to the game after being approved. So whereas on the PC you might see huge total conversion mods such as the Third Age Total War mod, you will never see it on consoles because it breaches copyright laws, because the PC market is so huge they turn the blind eye, but the console market is more open and directed and this would never work.

I think a more friendly report system would be better like when you report a player you get a message or something saying your report is in process the moderators are viewing your request then they can messsage you as the current is terrible.

No games on blu ray or dvd

I would like the playstation 4 to not play games using a blu ray or DVD
Player they are obsolete and just make it so I have to send my playstation
In to be fixed cause the blu ray stopped working well my ps3 plays movies blu rays
And all my games but won't play black opps or any cod game and that's the only
Reason I bought another ps3 so just do away with the disc all together I downloaded
Black opps 2 works just fine Please No More Obsolete technology

But that won't happen playstation loves the fact that we pay $100+
Every 6 months to fix or clean a blu ray lense

I honestly like Xbox One's Kinect control features, so I would hope to see that, even in the far future. I'd of course prefer it to be less intrusive unlike how Microsoft was planning on doing it, but I have to admit that it still actually looked pretty cool. Other than that, I just hope to see a re-design of the physical console, as I'm already tired of looking at this one and I don't even own one yet.

I was really looking forward to something similar to the Xbox Kinect. Motion sensing has come a long way enough to be implemented in gaming consoles. But then again, not many are praising the Xbox Kinect so I guess we'll just have to wait for it to evolve more.

I for a change would like Sony to build a new more intuitive and well designed OS interface for the PS4.

The PS3 interface got the job done, but was never very good. It was so bland and so slow. Even simple tasks needed loading. I hope PS4 can improve on it and build one up from the ground up.
