Major nelson has just confirmed through twitter that the upcoming first person shooter Call of Duty Ghosts will have dedicated servers on the Xbox One, But there will be no dedicated servers for the Playstation 4.

This is going a bit too far, isnt it?

* I changed the title of the thread from "Call of Duty Ghosts won't have dedicated servers on Xbox One" to "Call of Duty Ghosts won't have dedicated servers on PS4" as I think that's what you meant? *

On topic: This doesn't surprise me as Microsoft and Infinity Ward have exclusive deals with each other so of course they want one up on the PS4.

Well, what is the difference anyway? Just because you wouldn't have to depend on someone else's connection doesn't make the game good. And it's Call of Duty, it doesn't get much better than what already is.

It's microsoft you can pretty much anticipate this. They have like a contract going with IW. But I doubt I will be getting Ghosts, for ps3 or ps4. Waste of money. It's basically the other cods and just new maps, guns, classes, etc and a campaign almost no one bothers with.

yeah i dont think this will make much a difference wither way. With connectivity nowadays its not much of an issue.

Isn't that every game? A new map, weapons, classes, etc. and campaigns makes this a new game altogether. I just... what more could they possibly do to make themselves different?

It's a bit of a shame but I wouldn't fret over it too much, the majority of the CoD Demographic is playing it on the Xbox anyway, but like Mudgee pointed out, it's not really a problem these days because most people have good broadband connections, especially in the developed world, it's rare that you get speeds below 20Mbits/s most people have even more like 40 or 60+.
