I', still on the fence about it but the price drop was definitely a step in the right direction for the Vita. I'm sure that this will certainly increase sales for the system as it can really use a boost in that department. I think ultimately, I will purchase a Vita not that long after I purchase a PlayStation 4 sometime next year.

$ 200 is not expensive for this console. Sony is very nice I think.
Anyway, we need games. Personally, I'm buying this console to use it the same way the Gamepad Wii U.

I'm sure they won't drop their proprietary memory cards. The reason they have them is because of how hackers cracked the PSP wide open, they must be scared of such a situation being repeated. Instead, they should just price them fairly instead of selling them for such ridiculous prices. Price them so they are about the same prices as regular SD cards and everything will be fine...

You know what? I do believe it is the especially expensive proprietary cards that are holding up sales. I mean I got this thing when it dropped, but the mem cards kind of check my playing of it. If they can do something about that then I'd probably enjoy it more than I do - and they'd get a lot of new sales.

I will DEFINITELY consider buying one now. Before this vita didn't even have enough good games to warrant a buy, but now it seems Sony's really getting their act together and making the console really appealing.

I own a PSP and I played it for years and loved it. But now I just don't see any point to it since it barely has any new games. But since Sony has announced vita will be compatible with PS4 and will play it games it has really caught my attention. And this price drop has only helped it.

Maybe I should have waited.....nah I'm kidding. I have no problem purchasing it when I did. Such is the price of early adoption. But if I didn't have it already I would definitely jump on it. And given the recent gaming events, it's easy to see they're using the PS3 and especially the PS4 to help revamp it. And given how the sales are suddenly rising at major retailers shows things might be looking up for the Vita.

I'm still not sure. I feel like I don't really have a reason to buy it since I will still have my PS3 and I'm pre-ordering the PS4. I still haven't seen anything that makes it completely worth spending a couple hundred dollars on it.

Even though the price has dropped, i'm still not going to get it. I've owned the regular PSP and that was enough for me. I prefer playing games on console or PC rather than handheld. The graphics are always better and the controls are easier. Even if I wanted to play handheld games, I would rather just play games on my phone.

I bought my ps vita for $199 from my friend at a bargain price so I already got a good deal and back then it was selling for over $200.

If you're on the fence then I would just get one now. The current generation is going to be superior to the "new" ps vita. The screen on the current hardware is much better then getting the additional hour of battery life. Especially if you're in the market for a ps4. Make the jump. You'll be happy you did.
