I think you can make your own gaming desktop pretty easily, but laptops are harder. So maybe it's just that it's easiest to buy an Alienware laptop rather than try to put your own together.

I bet less people are buying games new, and that's because of the economy and the fact that basically nobody has any money! Plus the Wii sales have tapered off a lot over the past year, as I think everybody who wanted one has now got one.

That's interesting! I know with some games, like with Wii Sports, it's better to be in shape than not. But I wouldn't have thought that Halo would benefit from fit gamers as well.

Being almost as powerful as a tablet would make sense, I suppose. I guess I just can't understand why the Vita is so much more expensive to everything else, even when you compare it even to the PS3. It seems like it should be really, super-duper powerful, you know?

The Star Wars games are really good, yeah. I like that you don't just play through the plot of the movie, like with so many other games based on movies/TV shows.

Yay, other people remember the Sega Genesis! And yeah, my mom bought me it when it was on its way out-- she actually had to put it on layaway and pay for it a bit at a time until it was all paid for.

I'm excited, too! I don't think I'll buy it right away, as I still need to play the other Zelda Wii games, but I'm planning on getting it sometime in 2012 at least.

The posters do look really cool! I hope the graphics are actually as good as they look. Sometimes game companies put out amazing posters, but the actual game is slightly less than amazing.

Does anyone know how powerful the Vita is when compared to, say, a computer? I remember reading somewhere that the PS3/XBox 360 were almost as powerful as a computer (or are as powerful as a computer?) and since the Vita is basically as expensive as a console/computer anyway, I assume it must be...

Haha, I'm actually getting a little tired of all the shooting/killing/etc. games I've been playing lately, which is partly why I wanted to know about Pixar's games! It'll be nice to play something less violent.

I do wonder how much of it is hype and how much of it is true. It's weird that people aren't talking about Playstation Move more, but maybe that's because Kinect has more games that people want to play? Just a guess.

I don't have one, but that does sound like fun. I don't think I care too much about new games to want to play them before they're released, though.

I got the newest Tomb Raider game the other day, and it's so freakin' hard! I thought I had pretty decent hand-eye coordination, but I'm having the toughest time getting Lara to actually land on ledges and things. :mad:

I don't have one, but I'm thinking of getting one, too. I use rechargeable batteries anyway, but they don't last very long, either. Plus they take forever to recharge!

I haven't played any of them, but they sound like fun. I haven't played a D&D game in a long time, so Battleheart in particular looks like a good game. I'll have to check it out! I hope it'll work on my iPod Touch.

I just now found out that there are games based on the Pixar movies for the PS3! Has anyone played these? Are they actually any fun?

I'm really tempted to buy it right away, but I need some time to save up enough money to actually afford it. I think I'll probably buy it within six months or so of when it's released in the US, though.
