Hello everybody. I have a ps5 with blu ray drive and bought a Phillips ultra led 4K

50PUS6754 tv. I also have those hdmi 4K cables I bought especially to use it. The problem is. When I try to set the graphics configuration “quality” in the games configuration, the games work but it seems to lag when displaying, which it doesn’t with performance mode. 4k should work well with these equipments. I don’t know where the problem with slow fps can be fixed. Do you have any idea ?

Thanks for reading.

Okay, so... Performance mode is running at a higher frame rate but cannot run with Ray Tracing on. Ray Tracing gives better reflections, detail but is considered more of a graphics mode. Both the PS5 and X-Box X/S have the same limiting factor. If you run 120fps, you cannot run Ray Tracing and vice-versa.

The solution really comes down to the panel you're using. If your HDMI input is 2.1 on your panel, you're better off than not because it will take the higher frame rate properly but may still lag on graphics mode so... if you put it the PS5 in Grahics mode, then go into your panel settings and see if it allows you to raise the frame rate, you're good to go. Higher end Samsung panels for the last few years allow you to adjust frame rate by adjusting jitter and blur reduction to full up. Check your panel settings or see if the panel has Game Mode (lower contrast but faster frame rate).

My experience with Game mode is that on the X-Box-X, it looks great but on the PS5, I shut off Game Mode and adjust manually. I use the Samsung 8K panel so that's why I know them well. Play with your panel settings though. This way, I can run Graphics Mode but still have the higher Frame rate.

Performance Mode was done for multiplayer whereas Graphics Mode was more for campaign players.

This sounds like Sony needs to speed up the production of a new PlayStation 5 "pro" model. There's some kind of issue with how PlayStation 5 communicates with most panels out there. And what are you doin' with an 8K TV, bro? You're way too early for an 8K TV. lol.

I gotta tell ya, the processor in the 8K is fraking insanely good. All my sources look better on it - Ps1, Ps2, Ps3, Ps4-Pro, X-Box, X-Box360, X-Box1, X-Box-X, DVD's BluRays, 4K Blurays, PC, Antenna... if this panel didn't improve what I had on my 4K panel, I wouldn't have bought it!

I understand the benefits of 8k, problem is, as of right now, you wasted the money. Most media is 4k. I mean, most films are in 4k. There's not enough "mainstream" adoption for 4k. So, 8k? We're talking years away. I've seen similar technology, and it's in airports as we speak. QLED TV's/Quantum TV's are so crisp, you can't even tell the difference between real life, and the actual device you bought in Quantum TV.

I was also joking, but that's how I see things.

In no way did I waste money. I did not buy it for content... again, I bought it for the processing and if you've never really seen it in your own environment - you'll never get it but if you're good with your panel, perfect! Don't knock my choice because you THINK it's not worth it.

Relax, nobody's knocking you, bro.
