Action Games vs Sports Games

It honestly depends what mood I am in. Sometimes I get really into sports games and want to take my team through several seasons of franchise mode. Other times I prefer just to beat things up, so I go with action. If I had to pick one, I guess I would go with action because there is more variety.

Apples and oranges.
There is no best, just enjoy both. It's not being an elitist that you will get much enjoyment out of life. Even if you really don't like much something, give it a whirl sometime, you might be surprised.

Still, action games, because sports game tend to be pretty streamlined.

I have to say action games over sports. I can play many different types with action games than I can with sports. You're actually limited in sports games. I play more action games than sports too. I find tge action games more interesting too. Don't get me wrong sports games are good, but I just don't get as much enjoyment out of playing them as I do playing action games.

Action any day. I watched my brother played some of those FIFA and I just couldn't get into it. I even played Tennis on Wii with a friend as well and didn't find it as fun.

A bit difficult to compare the two, don't you think? They are meant for different moods and for some cases even different people. I mean when I am alone I just play an action game but when you have friends over and want to play together, then there are few options better than a FIFA tournament.

Great sentiment. It is refreshing to see another open minded person on the internet. Most gamers put themselves in a box and blindly support one side or the other.

The only sports game I have ever played was NBA Jam. I played it first on the Genesis, then I played it on the wii with my nephew and sister. This is the only sports game that I actually like playing. Otherwise I just play action games.

I like games that I can pick up and play in the short amount of gaming time I have. Sports games usually fall into that category. I don't have to remember the plot or figure out where I left off. One fame of Madden or MLB The Show and I'm good.

Sports games never appealed to me, I'm probably not in that demographic. My friends love the hell out of the NBA and FIFA games, though, so I do have some sort of understanding of why these games are good. I like action games a lot more, personally, they feel a lot more like an escape to me rather than realistic sports games.

I have seen some of the new sports games that are going to be coming out and I am not excited about them. I prefer the action games that are coming out because they have a lot of new good ones that are coming out for the PS4 and Xbox one. I think that it's going to be a close race over which system has the best features and games.

Action movies and action games always attract me because action games are more energetic and interesting than sports game.
