PC is like the Atari of the PlayStation vs. Xbox console wars. Someone will chime in, but ultimately no one asked you, PC fan. It's not Atari by relevance, it's Atari by no one really caring...at all.

Right, except plenty of people DO care. Enough that consoles are trying to emulate features of PC's. The newest consoles are basically gimped down gaming pcs.

When "That's why I'm glad I use PCs" pop up in a flood up bickering I cue the condensing golf clap. I use a PC for games as well, but I prefer consoles for convenience. A game comes out on a console, sure it's not going to have PC GRAFIX and it might not be moddable, but I've never had to see ahead of time if my equipment will run this game as is and send off for another component or keep adding and removing stuff.

It will work regardless. You look on the back of a console box and the only regular requirements are "X amount of space" for saving and "X online service" for online multiplayer if available. In the 90s there were no requirements, the box just told you that it supported 2 or 4 players.

PC gaming is cool, but honestly I can't keep up with the upgrades at this point. Console gaming is a lot more convenient for me. I still run less demanding games on my PC but the big name titles would destroy my computer. Console gaming has gotten a lot more complicated since the 90's and the internet has gotten more troll inflated making the "console wars" almost unbearable.

This will always happen, they're two sides of the same coin with different viewpoints and goals. Console wars will always happen, like Mac vs PC. Like Raiders vs 49ers, it's all competition and whoever is affected will defend their own opinions.

Pretty much this. It's pretty much human nature and, as you said, it happens in any category. For anyone that doesn't think the console wars are stupid, you should try and find fanboys of some product or thing that you don't care about at all. For instance, I don't really care for cars, but I could quickly google some forums for ford and find some fanboys and trolls on the site. When I read people arguing about cars, it just seems stupid to me.

The other day I was watching someone stream the xbox one on twitch and all of the Microsoft supporters kept saying things like, "The PS4 sucks because it gets FPS drops in CoD: Ghosts" and "The PS4 does not play in 1080P in CoD: Ghosts Multiplayer"
Now I am not sure about the 1080P part, but I know for sure that the PS4 does not have frame drop in Ghosts, I play that game almost every day and don't notice a thing. But I play on a 240Hz Television. I tried so hard to explain that the PS4 gets frame rate spikes that jump well over 60 FPS and TV's with a lower Hz rating can not keep up and skip frames because of it.
They can be so stubborn and so rude, never have I had people so maliciously throw their ego's at me after stating a 100% true statement with proof. They are so quick to make it personal. And with no proof at their backs.

IDK, I like both consoles. but I wont sit there and let someone act like theirs is better over some made up rumors. Just kinda ridiculous.

It surprises me sometimes. I mean if you think the other console has flaws and don't like it then it's fair enough. But if you get all rude because somebody doesn't have the same opinion then it is utterly idiotic. It's not like Sony or MS are paying you to talk favorably about their system. Why take it personally?

Because there's a gamer Valhalla for those who defend and die playing their chosen console. Where the couch has their perma-groove, controllers have heating and warming, the graphics are always tremendous, and online never goes for crappy.

...or they're just hyper aggressive, passionate fans crossing over into fanatic stage. Some from column A, some from column B.

I thought it was only the Call of Duty: Ghosts which was in 720p and most other games were 1080?

The 720p vs. 1080p thing really just comes off as fanboy war bait in general. The same as putting how many bits your console can run with in the console's name or on the console itself.
