Any overheating PS4's?

I've heard that PS4 can overheat. Clearly this isn't a very good thing to experience as it may get too hot and something may break inside. I did not get the PS4 yet but I'm wondering what's everyone's experience with this or what they've heard about it? Does it overheat?

I played my PS4, for 12 hours straight on launch day before i experienced overheating problems. I just turned the console of for 10 minutes and it was perfectly fine and didn't over heat for rest of the time i played it which was 2 additional hours.

I've never had any lights or warning, though during CoD: Ghosts single player in the darker missions like the underwater ones the fan did kick on pretty high. But as I stated, no bells or whistles so I am assuming it did not overheat.

I would assume that Sony has learned their lesson in overheating and has most likely implemented some sort of failsafe that would shut down the console before temps got high enough to actually damage anything.

I would like to think that if this were a serious problem, that they'll have better hardware released in the future. Hopefully it isn't an issue, but since I'm waiting to get mine anyways it'll probably be fixed by that time.

At this point in gaming console technology that would be a given. Anything less than that is seriously low-tech.

I usually have my consoles elevate on cooling pads so I've never really had issues with overheating. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was an issue because we already know that there is a problem with the thermal glue inside the PS4. I don't it's that widespread and I think that the vents in the PS4 are helping get rid of the worst of the heat problems, but as long as people keep their consoles elevated I don't see many problems happening.
