Any recommendations?

The only game that I had originally pre-ordered to release day was Watch Dogs, and that got delayed. Now I don't have any games coming in for release day, and I'm not really sure where to begin. I was hoping that some of the people around here might have recommendations on games that they think might fit my tastes and look good!

I guess the first thing that I should mention is that I don't really like playing FPS games with a gamepad, so I'm not terribly interested in the FPS style (or TPS style) options that are coming along.

Having said that, I do want to find something that can really showcase the hardware of the PS4, and will let me see what kind of graphics the thing can put out. As such, as much as I love the Lego games I don't think that something like the Lego Marvel Super Heroes game is really going to do it.

What recommendations do people have for games I want to look into more? They don't have to be PS4 exclusives, though if they're console exclusives (and not available on the computer) that's a better incentive for me.

Aside from FPS games and sports games there really aren't many games left.
If you're a fan of the franchise, get Assassin's Creed IV. Trine 2 and Knack look good too.

ACIV might do, though I have Trine 2 for PC already. I can take a look at Knack as well.

With the Assassin's Creed series, how important is it to have played through the previous games before jumping into the new ones? I've only actually played the first one at all, so I'm not sure how much I'll be likely to miss out on in playing VI before I get to the other ones.

I agree with just getting Assassin's Creed IV instead, since I think that's the game most similar to Watchdogs. Lego Marvel looks pretty fun too, if you're into that type of game.

Knack got an average of 59/100 rating. That's pretty much mediocre. You wouldn't want to play a game like this on a state of the art console like the PS4. Unless you have a lot of money to spend and you don't have a better choice.

Thanks, everyone! It sounds like my best bet for something to look into is probably going to be Assassin's Creed IV. I'll give it a look, and check out the reviews and everything. I appreciate the input from all of you.

Battlefield 4 is an amazing game and I hear it'll be even better on PS4. HUGE 64 player games and smooth, beautiful graphics. Makes me jealous cause I play on PS3 and it's a good game on there but there's a 24 player cap. (Plus 2 on commander)

I agree, BF4 is awesome and I really can't wait to snipe with 64 people. Sniping is even more fun in BF4. Trine 1 was fun, if that's the game I can remember playing, name sounds familiar haha. For PC right?

If you haven't played Trine 2, then you are definitely missing out. It's an amazing game and is graphically amazing. I do suggest checking it out on the PS4 if you like a platformer. If you haven't gotten around to it then yeah you should play Assassin's Creed 4. It's a pretty solid title, with lots to do aside for the story. I spent hours hunting down sea shanties for my crew to sing.
