Any Tekken games planned?

Okay, so it can't be playstation without Tekken. Tekken 1 was the first game I got for my PS1 back in the day. I really wish they would port Tekken Tag 2 over to the PS4, because that came still has a lot of life left in it. Any word on a new Tekken for this generation?

Noooooooo...enough PS3 to PS4 ports already I think,especially not older games.Better to have a brand new Tekken game for PS4.

Yeah, they only port the big name games like Injustice, TLoU, etc. Tekken's not big enough to draw sales for a port. I wish they do release a new Tekken. Last one I played was Tekken 4. We do need more fighting games though. Seems like a lot of the upcoming games are RPGs/MMOs/FPS. I heard there was a new Injustice or MK game coming out too.

Yeah,Ed boon creator of MK I believe will announce something soon from what Ive read,I hope its an MK game for the new consoles.
Some time ago Kiefer Sutherland mentioned in an interview he did some voice acting on an MK game and since we have'nt seen an MK game with his voice in it yet perhaps this could be it.
Would love to see how awesome a new MK game would look on PS4.

Yeah, I remember seeing that somehwere as well. MK9 was the best entry in the series IMO (outside maybe MK3). It had a bunch of violence and content that added replayability. I hope the NetherRealm guys come out with something innovative. The XRay stuff and Tag system (which was heavily influenced by Tekken) are a good start and I hope to see more gameplay changes.

Yes! We need a new Tekken game already. The Xbox One has Killer Instinct now, I think it's time the PS4 freshens up it's arsenal of fighting games. MK is great but I'm itching for some decent Iron Fist Tournament again.

J/K, Mortal Kombat is okay, but for fighting game purists, like myself, MK just won't cut it. Mk is so casual and style over substance. Tekken is a true fighting game. It has style AND substance to back it up. We need some real fighters for the PS4!

Tekken Tag 2 came out rather recently, still a competitive game. I would give it a a year or two before we see a new Tekken.

Though there's Tekken x Street Fighter which supossedly has been in development for a while and is rumoured to be coming to next-gen, but we know NOTHING about the game at this point.

I actually like that fighting games are relatively spaced out in terms of release though. The genre's not as overly saturated as the FPS or RPG. I hope Tekken has some fun modes. I remember playing Tekken Ball mode on Tekken 3.

I hope we get some news at E3. Like people have said, the Xbox One has Killer Instinct coming out relatively soon. I'd like to think that PS4 will have their own console specific fighting game, and hopefully it will be Tekken!

Ummmm, Killer Instinct was a launch title for the Xbox One lol....

The main guy behind Tekken said he was working on multiple titles. 2 of them should be released or at least revealed within this year. He said it was unlikely it's Tekken though. Hopefully PlayStation Now has Tekken?

Fighting games as a genre seem to be less popular than they once were in the arcade days. I'd like to see a new IP, but I'm curious if it would be supported the right way.

It's a given that a Tekken game should be released in the near future, it's one of the staples of the Playstation consoles.
I just hope they try something innovating though, Tekken has gotten a bit stale for me.

The new UFC game is going to beat out any of the old fighting games by the sounds of it. Tekken, Mortal Kombat, etc. It's going to be the next level of combat gaming. Being a huge UFC fan I cannot wait for it. All of the work that has gone into it gives me high hopes. If it is as good as advertised, all fight fans will be happy and it will be big on the youtube gaming channels.

Wasn't there talk of a Free to Play Tekken game coming out for last gen console? Or was that just Soul Calibur? I need to pay more attention to these things I guess..

Is anybody playing the Tekken card games on IOS and Android? It is a fun little Free to Play Tekken experience; actually a lot of fun. Might be worth looking into for some of you guys..
