Anyone have any good experience with generic brands of accessories?

For my PS3, I bought a controller that wasn't official, it was "generic". It is the only thing that isn't official about my PS3 package and it's probably the worst thing I could have ever bought. I don't have experience with different controllers, but this is just bad. Vibration is weak, the button aren't so responsive and the sticks are just horrible with the feel and everything. Maybe I just bought a bad generic controller but for the PS4, can you see these types of products being any better or are they always going to be the fact of "you're getting what you're paying for"?

With controllers they are almost always nowhere near as good,Ive had a few diff types for PS3 as well and the DS3 was better every time.
I would imagine once we start seeing copies and 3rd party controllers for PS4 it will be the same, though I am curious to see what designs other companies come up with anyway.

I have never noticed a drop in performance when using a generic controller. Always seemed to do exactly what the dual shock could do.

it's hard to think many 3rd party companies could make a controller with a good touchpad and better overall.. thats why they're generally cheaper. I would say to just read reviews on the exact brand and model before you purchase.

I've played with the fake older DS controllers before, and they are definitely not on par with the original obviously. I also used a Logitech controller for my PC and that was a little better. I think it's much better to just buy a third party branded controller rather than a fake PS3 one, since the branded ones will at least have better quality control. As for fake PS4 controllers, I think the people making them will have a more difficult time with having to include a touch pad, so it will probably take a little more time for them to duplicate it, if at all.
