Anyone play a lot of sports games?

Does anyone here play a lot of sports games? I am trying to get into those types of games but I don't find them exciting enough like GTA or COD. I think I would play snowboarding games well but it is picking the right ones. Can anyone reccomend some sports games that are fun?

I play tons of sports games, though I get lots of flack from the 'hardcore' gaming community for it. I think it depends on what sports you like mostly. The Nba 2k series and the EA NHL series are two of the best for the big sports. I'd avoid madden as those games are quite low quality compared to nba 2k and ea nhl (though I play tons of madden because I love football)

I play a lot of NBA 2k13. I played an entire season with the Los Angeles Lakers with 10 minutes for each quarter. I did not simulate any of the games that my team would play. I'm a fan of the NBA especially the Lakers and I'm getting pumped up for 2k14. I also play a lot of Fight Night champion. I love boxing and I like going in the ring against the all time greats.

I play a ton of sports games. They actually make up most of my video gaming. I enjoy the Madden series but I really like the '10 version. I pay MVP Baseball 2004 and 2005. Fifa is a blast. I haven't found a good tennis game since virtua tennis. I play NHL2k10 and NHL2k8. I also enjoy racing games and golf games like Tiger Woods and Mario Golf if you count those as sports games.

I haven't tried any of the others in each respective series but Fifa 10 and NBA 2K10 are easily my favourite sports games on the PS3 (and overall).

I play Fifa a lot because of the fact that I follow soccer and play soccer. It just makes playing with friends a lot more fun when they play soccer in real life too. You can always get the cool players and make teams to make yourself feel good. Other than that, I don't tend to play any other sports games because I don't find than that interesting compared to GTA or COD.

From all the games I have the one that has most played time is definitely FIFA, can't get better online experience than the one Fifa provides, I'm always playing that, and only stop when I have a new flick to pass through, last one was "Last Of Us", but other than that, I'm always on fifa online mode, it's just so good that's impossible not to get addicted to it, but now with GTA V, Batman Arkham Origins, Fifa will have to wait until the PS4 comes probably.

The only sports game I really played was a tennis game that came out relatively soon after the PS3 came out. At the time I was big into tennis so I played it all the way until I was Ranked number 2 in the world - in game, not online. I also played horse racing games occasionally, but aside from an old street basket ball game I never got in to the sport video games.

I have enjoyed FIFA, Madden (some editions), and a couple of NBA games. That said what you're going to want to do is decide on a sport you really enjoy and then look up a good game or series that has that sport.

I play some sport games such as:

Fifa
Fifa Street
NBA Street
SSX

I just don't play them as much as action games as I prefer that genre over sport. I think playing the actual sport is a lot better than playing them on a console. However that may just be me.

When I play a sports game it will usually be some type of Football related one, because that's the only kind I really enjoy and even then I can't say I play them on a regular basis. Sports games are just not something that draws my attention when I can actually just get a group of buddies together to play one in real life.

I play a couple of sports games here and then, but never religiously. I've always played the Madden and 2K-- games. I've played a FIFA game a while back and did not like it one bit.

I play a lot of sports games, and I love it. I hate playing games that won't keep me interested or entertained. I'm not saying action and adventure games aren't fun, but they are only fun for a limited amount of time. You can play sports games for a long time, before they bore you. Sports games also have the competition edge to them, whether you are playing online or locally with your friends.

I find that sports games are only fun if you have someone to play them with. Otherwise I'm just not attracted to them at all. Snowboarding games can be fun to play solo. think the best I ever played was Coolboarders back on the PS1. Though games like Fifa, Nba etc... I've never had a good time playing them.

I'm not a devout sports game player, but I do enjoy the occasional game. I tend to buy Fifa every other year, and I've dabbled in others like NHL. They're good fun to have a game or two with friends, but I tend to find them pretty repetitive playing single player, so I'm not the biggest fan.

I prefer the more unconventional sports games. 'Hardcore' sports like skateboarding (Tony Hawk's Pro Skater) and snowboarding (SSX) tend to be far more replayable for me. I've also got a soft spot for Nintendo and Mario sports - the extra dosage of wackiness and chaos make them far more fun than their original counterparts, in my opinion.

I highly recommend Fight Night Champions. It's fun to play with your friends, and the single player story mode is pretty intense and very well made. Apart from that, probably an underrated sports game would be skateboarding, although I admittedly have not played one since the PS2 era.

Yes, I Do!
The game I'm plating more at the moment is actually Fifa 13, my friends are always around here, and we love to do 1 vs 1.
We also love to see soccer so that's probably the reason. :p
