Bad thumbstick after 1 month?

So I'm a daily player online playing shooters. My left thumbstick just died today after a month of playing. Anyone else having this problem? Is Sony backing up their products or am I stuck buying a new one? I'm about ready to sell this ps4 online and go back to Xbox. Never had a controller die in 1 month after 25+ years gaming. Im so angry right now.

It's happened to me on PS3 but even though I love dualshock 4, it's probably due to stress on the controller. How often do you play everyday? Do you use a lot of force when turning and looking up and down?

Xbox will come with a whole different set of problems you might like even less.

Selling off the console because the controller broke doesn't seem like a smart thing to do. You will lose more by selling it off and getting an Xbox than straight out buying a new controller. Anyway, I've used Sony's controllers since PS1 and never once had a single one broke so my take would be your just unlucky.
