Best Gaming Headsets

Headsets are a great option for active gamers, both for privacy and for enhanced gaming experiences. Some great headsets for games include that of Turtle Beach, Logitech and Razer. What are your favorite headsets, and if you don't have any, is it because you think they are unnecessary? What about prices? How much are you willing to spend on headsets nowadays?

I think Turtle Beaches are good for gaming, but lower brand names don't get noticed often. Gaming headsets are garbage to be honest. There are $40 headphones out there that are better than "gaming" headsets. If you want to get some decent headphones, get a pair of Sennheisers or Beyerdynamics. They make great headphones and it's worth the price.
I usually spend a little less than $120 for my headphones.

I used my old Seinhesser headset which is not meant for gaming.
My brother gave it to me and have used it since then. It has way more better sound quality than any other headphones I tried out there.

So i am using it for gaming and everything. I just got used to it.

I have a pair of Astro a30s with the mix amp I got them for my boy really but I find myself using them more than he is.
They are so good when it comes to games like Call of Duty. I can hear directional footsteps and reloading so clearly that it has really upped my game.
you can find some good bargains on ebay when it come to getting then.

I've been using the Steelseries Siberas for my PS3 and I have absolutely no complaints. The also unplug and work for my computer, with the exact same crisp audio and mic quality. But they're actually a bit steep price wise, I ended up picking them up during a sale weekend Steelseries hosted with a 30% off coupon. They do one for almost every major holiday though, so it's not hard to get em for cheaper if you don't mind waiting. If I remember right they also sell an adapter that will let you use regular headphones and a different mic (3.5 for both) if you wanted to go that route.
