Bethesda Trademarks "Fallout 4"

Good news Fallout fans! It looks like the possibility of Fallout 4 is so close to being a reality as Bethesda has registered a trademark for "Fallout 4"

This trademark covers the use of the name in a few different categories, including computer software, digital media and merchandise.

So sound off! Who's excited?

There are no words for how excited I am, man. I knew they would get around to Fallout 4, but this is even better news. Looks like things are rolling forward!

O......................MY......................GOD. OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!. No but really, OH MY GOD! Almost done my 3rd run though of fallout 3 and have ran through New Vegas twice. I hope this is true as well as the Boston setting. I have been waiting patiently and will continue to wait. I want Fallout 4 to come out as a completely finished game. New Vegas was unplayable at launch which was a bit of a kick to the groin as it was one of the few games I had to have the day it released. I am hoping that 4 will have co-op as well. It would be nice to have a real life companion to travel the wasteland with. A companion that would not always get it the way when going in or out of rooms or when in a fire fight.

FYI,The OMG's are just a joke but Fallout 4 is the game I want to see most this Gen. Now if I could get some conformation on a sequel to Hells Highway this would be the best gen ever.

It's supposed to be set in Boston? That could definitely be interesting. Fallout 4 would move me to get a PS4 as soon as the game hits its launch week. As the Fallout series has shown us over the years there's Super Mutants everywhere.

I am hoping that 4 will have co-op as well. It would be nice to have a real life companion to travel the wasteland with. A companion that would not always get it the way when going in or out of rooms or when in a fire fight.

My companions typically died on me all the time. I had to leave Dogmeat in Megaton to make sure he didn't get killed and Fawkes was killed right out of the last Vault. I don't know what happened, I think he fell off a cliff or something? Who knows.

I'm pretty excited by it and with the power of next-gen I really can't wait to see what it'll look like and what it's capable of. I'm not all about the graphics but I imagine that with a game specifically developed for the PS4 they'll really be able to push the mechanics. It's going to be amazing and hopefully one of the better games on the console.

Am I the only one that is much more interested by Fallout than anything that ever came out of TES? Seriously, TES just isn't as interesting to me...

I will admit, though, Skyrim has a lot of refinements compared to New Vegas. Really want to see how FO4 brings these refinements into the modern Fallout franchise. I also wish Obsidian has a hand on FO4, at least for the writing and such, so it feels closer to the original FO games (NV was worked on by Obsidian, after all, and it felt much more like the real FO3 than FO3 did).

Pretty hyped, though I never doubted that FO4 would happen.

But I guess Fallout fans will be pretty excited for it, so I'm happy for them. But it's great news for more games hopefully coming in the next year and that's good, it pushes console sales and maybe gets more people to consider buying it.

This is great news. The Fallout series is incredible and anything that continues the series works for me. I've been waiting to hear something on the FO4 front. I knew it would be coming it was just a matter of when.

People should listen to RobDaCool more often. His sources are pretty insightful. More so at times than the guy at Gamestop. There are times where if you ask about anything but the larger budget titles they just couldn't answer you.

Back to all things Fallout, I liked FO3 alot and really enjoyed FO: New Vegas. I'd say that FO3 was more about the exploration and FO: New Vegas was more about the missions. I'm more into exploring stuff so FO3 really captured me and I'm just starting a second play through. Recently read an article about the social aspects of FO3 and figured to experience that.

I'm going to have to sit and watch Nuka Break, I liked that first episode.

Have you all seen the teaser site? I think it's "the survivor 2299" dot com. It's morse code that apparently tells us December 11th, 2013. So ... we must wait. Patiently. And then? Explode.

I would so love for this to come out in time for Christmas vacation.

Yes I was joking. Sure my jokes are bad. Bethesda games sell well on any system and I believe they know that. Heck they could port Fallout 1,2 onto the PSP and it would start selling I bet

I too am excited to be hearing that as well. I can't wait to find out if they will actually be producing a new fallout, because it would be such a great thing if they were to make another installment. It would be a must purchase for me.

This is super exciting news. Hopefully they can top Fallout 3, but I think that is going to be very hard. Definitely looking forward to what they have in store for the fourth installment. Can anyone take any guesses as to what they are going to call it? The story line of New Vegas, I thought, was perfect. I really enjoyed the little clips and the overall story, hopefully Fallout 4 can deliver on that front like its precursor.

I'm looking forward to the trailer, hopefully it'll show off a little more about the location and the story. Though I can't imagine that we'll learn much until we get closer to major gaming events like E3 and the VGAs. Until then I guess we're just going to have to hope for the best that it's better than Fallout 3 which was just okay in my opinion.

Some say it is a hoax. Others say it will lead to a reveal. Personally I hope it is a reveal with the potential release date.

...or it could be another Fallout Tactics. Which I enjoyed, but it's a little effort to go through for a game they could just announce (yes, of all things I said it could be I say FO Tactics).

We'll see what happens when we get closer to the holidays since more announcements on the coming years games come out around then. But even then Bethesda has other things on their plates so it might be some time before they confirm for real that Fallout 4 is a really coming out. It's just another wait and see game, but I'm kinda hoping for Fallout 4.
