Call of Duty Ghosts: Onslaught DLC dated / Trailer here

Infinity Ward has announced a January 28 release date for the first Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC pack, Onslaught.

"Something menacing is coming Jan. 28," the studio said on Twitter. "Get ready for the #Onslaught."

Infinity Ward posted a link to the following Instagram tease, which is set to the main theme music from the horror film Halloween.

Infinity Ward also said the DLC will introduce a fresh enemy type, spiders, in Extinction mode, which is to receive a new map called Nightfall.

A GameStop store display advertising the DLC (spotted by Twitter user @SeriousSix2010) names the Onslaught DLC maps as Fog, Containment, Bayview, Ignition and Nightfall. They're listed alongside a bonus Maverick AR and Sniper Rifle.

Infinity Ward plans to release four Call of Duty Ghosts DLC map packs. They will be available standalone or can be pre-purchased at a discount when bought as part of a DLC season pass. All Ghosts DLC will release first on Xbox.

So it's probably the 28th Feb before the DLC hits PS consoles. There is normally a months difference between the two isn't there?

Yeah,always 1 month after the x-machines.

I didnt get a season pass this time and not sure if Ill even get the map packs as they come out either.
I am playing the game a fair bit now but still not sure.

With regards to the new weapons being an AR and Sniper rifle Ive seen a vid saying it could be a hybrid of the 2,not actually 2 weapons.
And 1 of the maps will also be an older map from a previous CoD,from what Ive heard.
I hate it when they do they that.
When they do that they should offer it as a stand alone map at a reduced or price or free,like Terminal was in MW3.
Even if its got a fresh coat of paint,like they did with putting Blops 1 maps into Blops 2,still its the same.
If I buy map packs I would expect new maps,not pay for 'classic maps reimagined'.

I bought the Season Pass last year for Black Ops 2, and the downloaded the first two DLC's on the day they were released. By the time the third and fourth DLC was released, I had lost interest in the game and I still haven't downloaded them. So personally, it was a bit of a waste of money IMO.

I just have a massive lack of interest in the CoD franchise now.

I mentioned this in another post, but DLC's use to be so cool, waiting with friends to download them, and they were so fun. Not looking forward to this at all.

Thats what happened to me with Black Ops 2 as well,but I was OK until the 3rd pack,when the 4th came I only checked the new maps out in private but didnt even get around to playing them in public matches. However buying the season pass was almost the same as buying 3 map packs anyway (not 4) so even if I would have bought the map packs individually and not bought the 4th pack it would have worked out the same for me anyway in price.

But anyway,not sure on Ghosts,I may buy the first one and go from there,but I hope I if I do that I can download them to PS4 and PS3,like season pass holders can.

Looks like it is a hybrid gun,and AR with sniper scope..
And also there is a remake map in this one,its called Ignition,and its the map Scrapyard from MW2.

I enjoyed Extinction a lot. Got to level 30 really quick with the stock level, I hope that they can increase the level cap and add more perks as well. Right now, this DLC doesn't have much going for it. I'll wait and see if it's worth the purchase once it's out. I didn't buy the season pass so how much will it costs?

No price yet AFAIK. Guess we can go by previous games on DLC.
