Campaign checkpoints are not working.

I'm having this issue where the checkpoints in the campaign don't stay. I play a certain level in the game up to a checkpoint. I saw that indicator at the top right flashes and gone before quitting the game but the next time I come back and hit "resume," it always sends me back to the beginning of the level regardless of how far I've made. This issue is hindering my progression and completing the campaign is taking a much longer time.
