Can you bridge laptop connection to ps4?

Hey guys i basically i want to know if you can take an Ethernet cable and plug it from a laptop to a ps4 and use the laptops internet (bridge) connection to the ps4, i know it works on xbone but want to know if its possible on ps4 if some one can try this with their console and let me know would be greatly appreciated, want to know before i shell out the cash for the console.

well i can tether from my cell phone, but why would you connect to a laptop? Are you talking about a laptop with some type of mobile network card in it?

my laptop has 2 network cards what im trying to do is share my laptops internet connection with the ps4 so i can connect to internet on the ps4, i cant connect to wifi with the console because i dont have the password so i want to use my laptops connection instead

Sounds odd. If it works for the xbone I would expect it would work for the ps4 tho. I don't think you will find anyone that can test your unique situation, but good luck.

A few people were asking the same thing on the official PS forums and the answers were all yes.

The internet connection sharing service on windows creates a standard NATed secondary network and just acts as a router between them so any normal network device should work (including the PS4)

Guys, I am in the same boat. I am current deployed serving our Great Nation. We have WiFi for computers, smart phones and Pad's. They would not let gaming console's on the network. I know you can tie you PS4 to the network thru your computer. I have seen the other guys do it. Unfortunately for me. I am NOT as computer savvy as they are and right now they are not here anymore. That was on my last trip last year. I have a Lenovo with Windows 8. I already created the Bridge for the network, but I cannot get my PS4 to get to the internet. I try doing it manually and NO results. Please help, I am falling behind on Destiny. LOL... I know that someone out there knows how to do this.
