Can you name one female gaming protagonist who is not sexy?

Hi there, I opened this thread just for fun. When I think of girls in gaming, I think about Chun Li, Ada Wong, Lara Croft, Jill Valentine, and all other sexy babes. So, with that said, can you think of a female gaming character (that gamers can control) who is not sexy?

Unless you want humans specifically, in which case, maybe Hat Kid from A Hat in Time? The game isn't out yet, though. The only one I can think of from a Playstation game is Ellie from The Last of Us.

Well that is a lot harder than i thought it would be, specially if we are talking about Playstation games only, but if we get that thing out of the way, i think the most sensible thing would be Alyx from Half-Life, just like Ellie from The Last of Us she is just a normal girl, a normal person, which is not sexualized in any way.

Nope can't say I can think of something off the top of my head, I mean I only play games with some kind of attractive female character. Kazooie always get my rocks my jimmies when I play such games, Ms. Pac-Man aswell.
I mean how can the industry expect me to play a game if there is not some sort of attractive girl I have to protect because she is took weak?

Ridley from Radiata Stories is known to be cute and pretty, but not hot and sexy. Some of the non-human characters in that game are cute, such as Fan and Romaria, and they don't qualify as being called sexy. Of course, the human characters, especially from the Vareth Magic Institute, such as Leona and Cornelia/Rachel, are obviously cute and sexy.

I think sexy is subjective, but they did a good job in Silent Hill 3 of not sexualizing Heather, and in Silent Hill 2, the only sexualized character was Maria, and the point was that she was the "fantasy" version of his dying wife.

Good question, and now that I really think about it, I honestly can't. I'm sure game developers do this for a reason, as I doubt anyone would care to play with a female protagonist who was unattractive. Who knows though, maybe someone will be bold enough one day and decided to release a game with a female protagonist who is pretty ugly and not sexy in anyway. I doubt it will happen anytime soon though.

That's a really tough challenge. I even went to google to see if I could figure something out and I couldn't. The only thing I can think of is if the Pyro from Team Fortress 2 is female then... yea, I guess?

Can't really think of one. There are a few that aren't sexualized but they tend to be children and even then they're at least cute. Video games like exaggerating features or at least perfecting features. This is why we see super muscular male characters, super fit female characters and super cute kid characters. Would be interesting if they broke the trend.

I guess when you mean sexy babes, you mean sexualized female protagonists, not just regular female protagonists. Still, there are a few.

Ellie from the Last of Us, for reasons that should be obvious. Heather from Silent Hill 3. Faith from Mirror's Edge and Chell from Portal. I also don't consider Alyx Vance of Half Life 2 sexy at all (some people do and I guess different strokes for different folks).

Is a point trying to be made with this topic? I suppose a similiar thread might be, "Can you name one Male gaming protagonist who is an insufferable, unlikable, scumbag" (actually... let me start that )

The problem with this question is that people like different things so no matter what there will be people who think a given character is sexy. Rule 34 is pretty much proof of that.
For instance, when The Last of Us was first shown and I saw chats and forums and stuff talk about it, a LOT of people were talking about Ellie and how much they liked her looks and honestly, I think Naughty Dog kinda played to that at certain points in the game (subtly of course). So, there's that.

Still, I'll play along and say... Amaterasu from Okami I mean non-human characters were allowed, right?
