Cannot login

As the title says, I cannot login to any of the users on my PS4. I choose the user and then it apparently starts loading, but it never ends.
I've tried re-booting the PS4 and unplugging it. I've also tried waiting 5 minutes before logging in. None of those worked.

I can get in to the ps4 and play, but I can't sign in to PSN. Could it be related to the network undergoing maintenance?

I got logged out of PSN and when I tried to sign back in, I get the "The Playstation network is currently going under maintenance" text.

This is one area where MS has it all over Sony, it seems. They really need to step up their game, particularly now that we're actually paying for online access.

Also, their claiming it's just an ISP issue is really frustrating.

It's a DDoS attack, it's not Sony's fault if some idiots decide to attack their servers. DDoS can happen to any sites, servers, and services. There are ways to counter the attack but it takes time.
