Carry on with old PS3 profile, or start new?

So I don't know if many people have seen my other thread about not being able to log in to my account and having to start a new profile/account (http://ps4forum.com/391-ps4-support-tips/5014-cannot-log-into-my-account.html) but basically I'm trying to decide whether to just go back to my profile I've had for a year or start another new one.

My intention was to start new with the PS4. New console, fresh start, etc. But after my account being "hijacked" I'm just debating wither to go back and bring my "old" profile over to the PS4 - or start fresh again.

What do you guys think?

EDIT: In case it helps, "old" profile is Level 12, 6 platinums including my most proudest accomplishment in all of gaming Red Dead Redemption (even though I'm not very big on trophies anymore, have a few PSN games purchased.

I thought about starting with a new name too but then i thought of the people who have multiple accounts for their clans and different games etc. I never liked having to add three PSN names on my list for one friend. That being said I always only wanted to have one name, one account, one identity. I thought about my first time ever playing online on Call of Duty:Modernwarfare on PS3 and I was hooked forever meeting people in a whole new way. Your original name is the one that you will always be remembered for and getting a new one is like joining the federal relocation program for a whole new life/identity. Who knows how long we will play as gamers. Im 37 and played since atari and if I had an ID back then I would be among the first true "Original Gamers". If we play till were 80 years old wouldn't it be nice to go back online, on your death bed and rekindle the inner warrior that beat all of RED DEAD REDEMPTION and tell your grand kids about it lol...IDK... or you could just change it

Bring the old account.

Account is identity, I dont like jumping accounts or having several names.

I'm always don_bidarian (hell I even wanna register it for copyrights >.> ), I registered that on PS3 and will continue it until PSwhatever is available.

I have a few diff accounts purely to access diff country PSN stores but my main account is the only one I use to game with.
Its the first one I started when I got my PS3 and I stuck with it.
And dont forget Haze,it is possible Sony may add the option to change PSN ID's in the future,at least it was high on the list for what users wanted in features in a survey.

So I say just stick with your original main one,after all,you have all those trophies linked to it.

Use the old account. You will have all the achievements and PSN friends there.

I'd try and recover your old account. I mean it might not matter too much now but you'll miss all the accomplishments and some of the PSN games and other stuff you've downloaded. I know I'd be heart broken if I lost my PSN account.

He hasnt lost his old account,he just wanted to start as new with PS4.
But Im pretty sure Haze is just gonna stick with his old account now.

I've gone back to my old account for now. Can't think of a good PSN ID and the thought of starting from scratch scares me a little

Ok. An update.

I got my account back! When this first happened I contacted Sony (via email) and they asked me to supply a email address without a SEN account, so I did. And bang, got my account back. Still not exactly sure what happened, but good news right? Got my 3 months of PS+ and DLC back so I'm a little happy
