Hmm. I've never been able to connect to my PS4 unless I was on the same WiFi network. I mean, when I'm not home, I could message my friends and buy stuff on the PS Store and check trophies but that's about it.

What exactly do you want to be able to do remotely? It's not like your going to be able to play games or anything like that. Almost anything important can be done with the app or signed in thru the PSN webpage.

It's an application for Android OS which seem to give you the possibility to play in remote mode.
