Convince Me to Switch sides............

Okay, so I will end up with both systems, as always, and I enjoy playing both. Sony has amazing exclusive titles, but like you, most of my XP is built up through my Xbox, with a Gamerscore of over 25K. I would have such a hard time giving up trying to get my Gamerscore up higher, as I'm one of those people that LOVE getting achievements and trying to get higher than my friends. Silly, I know, but true. I personally like the XBL setup versus Sony's. Oh, and as for controllers, I was a hardcore PS2 girl, so both controllers are so natural in my hands, that doesn't make a difference to me at all. As for the Kinect, put a piece of tape over the lens if you're that worried. Easy solution. Oh, and I doubt they will bring the always online back. I agree that it would probably come with quite a large backlash after the complaints that blew up when they announced it initially.

As for having 6 RROD, well, that's just crazy ridiculous. IMO you're an outlier, statistically speaking. I've never had one, but I've never heard of anyone getting that many. That's-just wow. I wouldn't blame you for going to Sony and not looking back. In all fairness, my PS3 playing dropped off dramatically when I had a hard drive failure and lost every single saved game that I had on there. That was f-ing awesome, let me tell ya.

Thats the thing, microsoft is a company and its about making money,no matter what.
Sony is a company, and its also about making money but not at the expense of the gamer

I just cancelled it. I really did. My brother is furious, but I am not ordering it again.

Basically the big issue is that Microsoft betrayed the trust of consumers and then backpeddled in order to save face. I mean, I have nothing personal against Microsoft, but they've shown that they are very very willing to screw you out of any money they can and force things onto you that you don't want. Sony does the same thing at times, but as far as this console generation looks, they're really trying to benefit the consumer, and not just themselves.

Honestly I cant think of a good thing that Xbox has, aside from having a couple of exclusives I'm interested in. I like how the Playstations run, they are more reliable and cheaper. I also prefer more of Playstation exclusives over Xbox.

I'm not entirely sure how I'd go about convincing someone to buy a PS4, but as far as my own reasons go, I'm personally preferring PS4 just because it seems to be the most reasonable choice for this generation. It's significantly cheaper, and I like the exclusives for it, particularly God of War. Also, I don't know how Xbox's online market is, but PS+ offers some great free games, including big titles like Tekken which was offered for free just recently and officially became the first fighting game to be ever given out for free, if I'm not mistaken, which I think is a pretty big deal.
