Crash Bandicoot

Exactly! I can't sleep at night trying to figure that out. Madness!

It's extremely illogical and I've been wondering that for so long. Why in gods name would you sell one of the most sucessful Ip's you have ever had to a company that LITERALLY has made nothing but crap except 2 or 3 games out that IP. I hope to god one day sony buys it back from activision and we can see a new proper crash bandicoot.

I hope so as well. The whole thing does not make any sense to me as I said earlier. Sony has to acquire it, really. It was almost like their mascot on ps1 days. This is ridiculous.

That's quite interesting, I did not know about that policy at all, it all makes sense though. I am anticipating a Crash game. I don't know but I always associate Crash as PS mascot of sort.
Naughty dog has mentioned they are thinking of coming out with another crash game. Well see what happens on the ps4. I'm on the fence about it. On the one hand it would be awesome to see a new crash but on the other I associate it as a classic psx title I don't want to see done wrong.

One would think they would do it the exact same way though.

Considering he is not a Nintendo character, yes. Was he in Playstation All-Stars?

Lots of non Nintendo characters are in Smash Bros...

But no, he wasn't in PlayStation All Stars. If even sony wouldn't pay to use him I don't know why Nintendo ever would..

I'd like to believe that Crash is not dead yet. I just fantasize about him in Super Smash as plenty of iconic chars are in there. Sonic and Pacman to name a few, heck even Solid Snake made his way there.

I remember playing The Wrath of Cortex back in the day. Was that a good one? I remember someone stepping on the disc and it cracking in half, as well.
:(

I also have fond memories of this game, being the first one that I bought for my PS1. I think it was the hardest of the original trilogy, and I remember actually putting that down to the controls (which I felt were floaty), although I'm not entirely sure now. Either way, it's still a great game, even if I prefer its sequels.

Yeah... I am anticipating a Crash PS4 announcement. I mean, he was in the PS4 commercial that was released as an advertisement for the console's launch.

I would be absolutely ecstatic if they did. That was one of my favorite games when I was a kid. I don't know if it would be anything like the original series, I'm sure it would be somewhat different, but still, the excite would be so real!

I am thinking that crash was the best thing that had happened to my PS1 at the time and I really liked the game and how good it was. I wish that he was in smash brothers also but I do not think that he will ever make it to one of the games because the series did not last very long and I could never understand why because to me I really think that it was a good game.

This was one of the first games I ever played, I used to sit there with my Mum and play it with her. We'd get so frustrated when we couldn't beat a boss, so we'd alternate between who plays just to get to the next level. Then the crystals became the objective, so she was nuts about getting all the crystals. Crash is probably the reason I have the eye-hand coordination that I have. Wrath of Cortex was good, the Kart racing one was even better.

It would absolutely be a waste of Naughty Dog's potential to make another Crash Bandicoot game. They've grown too much as a studio. Look at Uncharted or Last of Us. These are the kind of games they make now. Going back to a platformer starring an orange dog thing is a waste. They are capable of so much more. Plus since Sony doesn't own Crash they couldn't work on it without throwing bags of money to Activision(I think).

I would love to see another Crash, but other studios are better for the job right now.

This is spot on.

We always go on about how good the games of the past were but they are very much of their time. If CB1 was brought out today it would pass as a free game on mobile and not much more. Nobody would pay a decent amount for it.
