The Unlosing Ranger
Mighty Strike-Out Slugger
So PC Gamer has allowed Durante access to their early copy of the game, it seems, with the purpose of getting him to analyse the port. It's a pretty long two page article so I'm gonna try to basically write up a "TL;DR" in here:
Basically, FROM have proven themselves capable. After the bad straight port of the previous game (which, despite the issues with KBAM and GFWL, was actually pretty decent IMO), it seems that FROM have gone and made Dark Souls 2 on PC a better experience. Not only better than its predecessor but also better than most PC ports nowadays.
Not only did they include actual graphical options this time around, but the framerate goes up to 60FPS and KBAM controls are actually pretty good this time around. It also uses Steamworks instead of GFWL (yay the witch is dead) so the main issues people had with the predecessor have been addressed. The PC version also includes higher quality assets than the console game and can be maxed at 60FPS on average computers. The load times are very short, also (3-4 without an SSD)
