Did Elden Ring deserve GOTY?

So Elden Ring won Game Of The Year at the game awards. My question is just how deserving was the award. I felt like Elden Rong was a fantastic game, but it did require a lot of skill.

I believe that Elden Ring more than deserves to win the Game Of The Year at the game awards. There's no other game that should have won it in my opinion. God of War Ragnarok did good but not better than Elden Ring.

I did not play a lot of games that were released this year. Therefore, my answer might not incorporate truth, but based on my experience, I think there were no other games as good as Elden Ring. By the way, Elden Ring was also awarded the most anticipated game.

Absolutely! The game was liked by a lot of gamers that I know. For a new game to gain such a reception shows how much a lot of people wanted to be part of such project. I will vote it as the game of the year.
