Did you ever use an eye toy?

The eye toy gadget of Sony was very cool concept. It's like the Kinect for the Xbox 360. However, I myself have not tried it out. What about you? Were you able to experience the Eye Toy? Did it have any great games?

I never got a chance to use it, but I do remember briefly messing with a display version in the store. I think the Eye Toy was really ahead of it's time. Cool idea, but the technology wasn't there yet.

I specifically remember that people complained that it needed particular lighting to work properly. If a room wasn't bright, the Eye Toy couldn't read the player.

This would be my first time hearing about this "Eye Toy" and I must say that it has a weird name. Haha.

Well, I don't think that this became popular. The fact that not a lot of people know it proves that point. And since it didn't become popular, I don't think that it's a good accessory for your console.

My best friend had one for his PS2. In comparison to today's motion capture technology, the games are pretty junk. But back then it seemed kind of ahead of its time.

Honestly, I never even knew it existed up until it was brought up recently with all the PS4 discussions. I may have heard of it once or twice back then, but I guess I never paid much thought to it, I was enjoying myself enough with the system itself probably.

Woah, nostalgia alert! I remember getting one of these as a Christmas gift, back in the day. I don't remember much, but I do remember this game where people were falling, and you would bounce them back in the air. Or something like that. It's been awhile!

Yes, it was really revolutionary at the time, and my family loved to play with it!
I also had the sports version, really good, great nostalgia.

I use to use my Eye Toy, but I rarely use it at all now a days. I find it useless sometimes.
