Monster Seed is one of the first PS1 games that I played. I did not read any reviews about it nor watched any videos of it before purchasing the game. It was like a cross between Pokemon and Monster Rancher wherein you play as a person who can breed and control different monsters. You could collect seeds that you could hatch and turn into monsters that would fight alongside you in battle. The great thing about it is that you really get to care about the monsters that you control because they eventually die if they reach a certain age. Another great thing is that you actually battle with the monsters in turn-based fashion. It's very addicting and needs a lot of strategy.
