Did you play Tekken?

Tekken was one of my most favourite series of games to play on the PS1 growing up. I used to think it was quite a challenge though too, although I completed each game multiple times. I used to really love the different game modes and got quite addicted to this game. My favourite character was Mokujin, that crazy wooden character that could transform his fighting abilities into the other characters. So did you play Tekken, and did you have a favourite character?

I played so much Tekken growing up, but I never really got to be too good at it, just enough to keep up. My friends and I would always play it until sunrise, it gets so addictive since even if the matches do tend to get a bit repetitive, you could always choose another character to change it up and it feels like a new game all over again. My favorite characters to use are Hwoarang, Baek, & Steve, I probably gravitate towards them because they are the easiest to pick up and learn quickly.

I've played Tekken 2, 3, 4, and Tag Tournament, and so far I'm impressed by the game's engine. My favorites are Baek and Hwoarang only because they are taekwondo experts, and I'm a practitioner of TKD as well. As to Tekken Tag, my favorite combination duo are Roger and Panda. I love Roger and Panda's synchronized dancing whenever they will start the match. I've tried all characters, but so far these four are my favorites.

I can proudly say that I've played every Tekken game that came before Tekken 6. To be honest, it is the only fighting game that made me really interested about the story. I was really enthusiastic to see the endings and to learn more about every character. In addition to that, some of the female characters are quite hot. (Yes, I'm talking to you Lili)

I actually played the game after realizing that a streamer I was watching actually played Tekken. He played sometimes on stream, and that got me interested. I got into the game, and used to play everyday, but don't play much now since I'm horrible at the game. Watching professionals play it is impressive though.

I think Tekken 3 was one of the most played games for the PS1 that i had. The amount of content, that awesome two player versus... i miss that.

I loved playing Tekken. The action was off the charts. I have always loved fighting games but this particular one takes the cake. All of the characters were unique and had an awesome skillset.

I first saw Tekken 3 being played in arcades when I was a kid. Ever since, I longed to play that game in consoles. It became a reality when we purchased the PS1. I played Tekken 3 to my hearts content. I finished the game over and over in order to unlock all the characters. I memorized each and every combo of Jin and Bryan. It's one of the best fighting games to ever come out and it's my favorite fighting game of all time.

Now, I'm playing Tekken Tag 2. It's a blast!

I still play Tekken on my PSP and I still love it.
I do enjoy street fighter 2 and mortal Kombat but the look and feel of Tekken outshines them both.

I could never, for the life of me, complete a decent combo. My hand and eye coordination skills are lacking aplenty. It's really sad coz I really love the characters and the short clips in there.

I played Tekken 2 and beat the whole game as Eddie, I was then told years later that I did not correctly play the game. And that Eddie was basically cheating, I now feel like my whole Tekken life was a lie.

Lol. Who is your favorite character? You could pull out easy air combos with Devil Jin/Jin. Nina has simple combos too that I think you could easily pull off. And if you want to button mash, then you could use Eddie. Or if you don't want combos, just use one hit wonders like Paul and Bryan.

I grew up with Tekken as well. It was a fantastic game with a brilliant range of characters and game play.

Me and my sisters would play it all the time but we'd also carry on through the story mode. We'd swap each time one of us died
until we completed it. It was a really great game and I don't remember playing anything like it when I was younger. Very fond
memories of the series. I now want to plug in my old playstation and play it again.

If Tekken 2 wasn't my first game when I got my PlayStation, it was one of the first I can remember playing. This game is what really gave me a feel as to fighting games in 3D and Tekken as a whole. The idea that I would have to approach the fight as a more realistic one compared to something like DBZ or Street Fighter was pretty cool and side stepping added tons of possibilities. I've owned Tekken 2, 3, 4, Advance (GBA) and played Tag, and 6. Great series and I hope they keep making more. :)

Of course i played Tekken! Loved it at the time, although now im not really much of a fighting game fan. The originals were pretty challenging, me and my friends also played Tekken Tag but only for the bowling game! Haha. But a favorite, hmmm, either Kazuya or Yoshimitsu i think, although i have this distinct feeling im forgetting my actual favorite...

Cheater! Hahaha. Lol.

Playing as Eddie is not cheating. Each of the characters have their own strengths and weaknesses. It so happens that Eddie is a character that is best suited for button mashers. That's probably why they called you a cheater. But, I wonder, you just finished the game once with Eddie and did not play it again? Hmm...

I wanted to stay undefeated, mashmashmashmashmash. Also I returned it to Hollywood Video after I beat it :(

I loved Tekken 2 when I was a kid! It was a fantastic game, me and my sisters would play it for hours!
I would love playing as either Yoshimitsu or Nina Williams. It was a brilliant game and actually had a
story for each of the characters.

I've never played Tekken despite playing a few other fighters. I'm not very good at inputting combos, so I've never really gotten good at any fighting games, but I've had a lot of fun at least playing some of the flashier, less combo dependent fighters like Marvel vs. Capcom, BlazBlue, Melty Blood. I've seen Tekken and heard all the good things about it, but the fact that I'm nto very good at fighters to begin with may just be one of the reasons I never got into it.

I've always loved Tekken from since it ever came out. Recently, I bought Tekken 3 and it surely does bring back a lot of good memories when I was young. The graphics and sound effects are great. Awesome fighting game! :D
