Different between PS and Xbox

I'm new at the game, so someone could tell me the different between PS and Xbox? which will be more interesting? thank you ^^

To super simplify, differences are in belwo departments:

Exclusive games:
Depends on which exclusives(old or new franchises/IPs) you like, you can choose the system.
Xbox has Halo, gears of war, titanfall and another game i forgot...
PS has Uncharted, infamous, the order 1884, games made by david cage and ...

Overall I like PS exclusives better, they are more story/single player oriented while xbox exclusives are more multiayer shooters.

Hardware:
The hardware is quite similar, however PS4 currently performing much better, probably due to better sdk support, that might change later and they both become equal.

Features:
This is where Xbox one shines, it has lots of multimedia feautures, skype, controlling tv, minect etc...
While PS4 went backward and took out all the features that PS3 has. PS4 cannot even play mp3!


Overall im a PS fan so I choose PS over xbox anyday.

PS4 delivers on the exclusives, plus there's a more diverse amount of exclusives of those top tier exclusives. When you look at Xbox One's camp of top tier exclusives it's shooter, shooter, shooter. That could easily change, but it kind of defeats the purpose of having "unique" exclusives if your heavy hitters are in the same genre across two subgenres. Especially a genre that was ridden hard, but has yet to be hug up wet by developers in the last decade.

Don is pretty much spot on with the hardware and features. It comes down to if you want a gaming console or a media box that can play games too, really. Also there's subscription services. PS+ has gone into the same realm as Live Gold with paid online, but it still leaves the door open for developers if they want to allow online play for free whereas Xbox One keeps that door sealed tight. There's also the free games incentive which will likely go to PS4 in the early running given the program's history on PS3.

I would say that Razor is right. It really depends on what your looking for in terms of experience. If you want more media opporunities/shooters/sports then the Xbox One is platform for you. But if you want a more diverse experience with a lot of exclusive and a broad swathe of genres then the Ps4 is for you. Also I enjoy the PSN more than Xbox.

Razor's post is spot on. But it's also worth mentioning that PS4 is the way to go for anyone that likes Japanese games since the majority of them never come to Xbox.

I agree with your last point.

However i think Sony will eventually add multimedia support. They have to. The the backlash has been substantial at this point.

I think people are being patient with Sony because the system is still new. Eventually that will wear off, and people will get angry, and demand media support. Sony will add it in an update at some point.

When they do. The PS4 will definitely be the best system, and it will not be close. I hope they do it soon though, because i miss that feature.
