Different colored console.

Is there a different color to the PS4 or we are stuck with Jet Black? Any plans by Sony to release the PS4 in different colors in the future like White, Blue or Red since the controllers have color variations?

I'm sure they will, but you can always get skins which either are available or will be soon. I like the idea of getting a different colored PS4, I really want a red one, or a red and black one. But I don't think that you'll see it anytime soon. Maybe in a year or so Sony will see if people are really interested in that.

As usual, they'll probably start off with a single color, then start introducing new colors as time goes by. Of course Japan will probably get the new colors first, but I think the Ps4 is region-free so it should be fine to import one when they do if you don't wish to wait.

I've never seen the purpose of different color consoles unless you're carrying it around for everyone to see or something. However if I were to pick a color, I'd want red.

I've never seen the purpose of different color consoles either...especially when released after the initial console. It would be different if they offered three different colors off the bat.

Well I can't say for sure but...I believe in the past Sony have given exclusive colours away in competitions.

Eventually I'm sure they will, I believe if I remember correctly during the PS3 launch we only had black Dualshock 3 controllers to begin with. Regardless its only a matter of time before 3rd party controllers are made too and they'll definitely be a colour different to black.

I doubt that they will widely sell a different colored console. They haven't in the past, so this would definitely surprise me if they started.

As of right now here in the US, Jet or Matte Black, is the only available color for console. I'm sure some others will be coming. However, Japan is the only country that really gets exclusive colors & bundles, so I wouldn't expect anything coming out here in the US in the long run.
