Do you regret buying it?

Would you have rather saved some more money for a good gaming PC? With the latest titles coming out, I suppose I would have rather built myself a PC, since the games are a bit too expensive for me.

Same here,not at all.
Even with the lack of launch titles and small issues that need addressing on the PS4's FW Im still glad I bought the PS4 on launch day.
It was the first time I ever bought a console on launch day and still glad I did.

I attempted PC gaming just before the PS4 launched and it just wasn't a pleasant experience. There's a lot to be said for not having to worry about drivers and graphics settings. Not that it was particularly complicated, it was more the fact that I had to think about it rather than just putting the game in my Playstation and playing it.

Saying that, sometimes it's hard to pay the asking price for PS4 games compared to PC, I paid 50 euro for Lego Marvel, only to see it for 20 on the PC a few days later. Plus softens the blow though. Overall I'm pretty happy with my purchase.

Nope. Everyone knows what to expect if you adopt early. We're actually pretty lucky we got decent indies this gen. I only remember 2 launch titles for 360: Perfect Dark and NBA 2k6.

I had a gaming PC (sli 570's, i7 cpu, etc), and stilled played games on my consoles more often. It the convenience that makes console gaming so big.

I'm sure there will be exclusives such as Titanfall that will make me sad not to own an XB1 but then I just think of things like Morpheus and Uncharted and I wont be losing any sleep over not having an XB1.
The TV/Media features are really not that important to me. However, saying that I wouldn't mind seeing more features come to the PS4 (better SHARE functions, which are coming and more Apps etc) but I use it for gaming primarily so I'm happy either way.

I thought the same about Titanfall, it really looks like a good game but from what I heard it's been a bit of a victim of it's own hype. I agree the PS4 needs more apps but I still have my PS3 so nearly everything I need is on there (Netflix and Hulu and the ability to play local media mainly).

I'm sure by 2016 we would be enjoying hordes of cool games, both exclusives and multiplats. Right now we are in a cross-gen games stage, once we get "current-gen-only" games we can see how cool PS4(or Xbone) can be.

Defo agree on that one too.
When we see what PS4 will be truly capable of as the years go on cross gen games will be a thing of the past and we will see how much better games developed solely for PS4 will be.

Adopting early in a console's run is always kinda difficult to sit through--especially when it's your only console to play on. Like you want to give the console all this attention and play it, but the line up isn't being very encouraging to do that at launch.

No I knew what I was getting into for the most part. Never expected so many HD remasters though. I'm starting to think this is what the majority of the dead spring games will be this gen. Which in a sense is good and bad. You get to play epic games like Mass Effect in what is usual the down time of gaming. It's bad if you played mass effect on Pc, 360, Wii U and PC already though.

As for the gaming PC. I built one for 2 thousand, as well as bought and X1 a after buying a PS4. I only regret the Wii U.

Similar to as been said above, i don't regret buying the PS4 but i am HUGELY disappointed with the lack of variety of games for it. Like Panda it also irks me that developers like Naughty Dog and Crystal Dynamics aren't working on anything new but making HD versions of RECENT games I'd prefer those people to be working on something new, not re hashing something old.

What does irk me, is i remember in the build up to next gen, developers were wetting themselves saying how the new arcitecture of the PS4 / XB1 would be much easier to work with like and code for like PC's so games would be quicker to make, and cheaper... I also think it's odd from both SONY and MS to launch consoles with hardly any software to run on them.

I know times were different back in the day but gamers expectations have moved on from them.

In short i wouldn't recomend to my friends to buy either a PS4 or Xb1 just yet. I'd say hang on for another 8 months until we have some more games on them to play. By that i mean PROPER next gen games to play, ie games that were souly designed for next gen consoles only, like the Division, Uncharted 4, The Order... etc To me that's when we'll see what these consoles can really do.
