I don't really trophy hunt. On the Xbox I used to be absolutely mad on achievements to the point where gaming turned out to be more of a chore then fun, so I gave the Xbox a break and playing the PS3 for a while and found myself enjoying games again. I don't know why, but the trophy system whilst great - doesn't appeal to me much. But that isn't a bad thing at all. If I get a trophy - great. If not, doesn't matter. It's odd I know, but the PS3 made me have fun with gaming again.

I don't actively go out to get trophies until my second playthrough, as it kind of takes the fun out of exploring and really takes me out of the story I'm trying to immerse myself in. On my second playthrough, I'll usually look through a list of trophies I'm missing and try to go out and get them, but I don't make it into a chore. I still haven't got any platinum trophies, as I just really don't care about 100% completion if it's going to drive me crazy trying to get it. I do have a lot of silver/gold trophies, though.

I really am into trophy hunting, however I limit myself to 20 tried before I give up, lol. I have one platinum - L.A. Noire, and it took a really long time to get though. I'm Level 7, 82% I think, I tried for and achieved 5 trophies today, MW3 DLC Special Ops Missions.

I don't usually try and get trophies, unless I have already completed the game and there's nothing much else left to do. I think it can be fun with certain games, but generally I don't really both that much about being rewarded trophies.

I only do this when I've finished the game and still want to play it some more. Sometimes, I'd play the game to completion again and try to get all the trophies, but most of the time I'll just try to get a few and see what it's all about and wander a bit after completion. If the game is particularly good, I'd be more enticed to really see it completed 100%, but on most cases I just let it go after I've finished it.

I'm exactly the same, I like to play games for fun, so I tend to just play games until I beat the story and once I've beaten the campaign (or explored enough if it's a open-world game) I feel finished with the game, spending time trying to get through every achievement to get some trophy seems silly to me, it turns playing games into a game in my opinion. Steam are now following this trend by giving each profile levels for just playing games and it kind of exploits people's competitive sides in order to get people buying their games (rather than playing), this isn't locked down to steam however, PS and Xbox do it too.

I don't see the fun in trophy hunting yes it's fun to compare with your friends and all but it really isn't all that fun to do it.

I'm a closet trophy hunter. What I mean by that is I don't initially go after them. But if I like the game enough, I start to make a point to try to get as much play out of it as possible. And normally, that entails getting more trophies along the way. Then when/if I get close enough, say 80%, that's when I say screw it and go for the 100%

I am definitely a trophy hunter. Every game I get, I do my best to get every trophy. I know it's a little nerdy, but the OCD in me can't stand seeing an uncompleted task, it just eats at my soul. I spend way too much time on games because of this, but I have to continue on until I finally get it.

I am a major Achievement Hunter on the Xbox. I assume i will be the same way when i get my PS4.

Nah, I am all about achievement on the 360, but I haven't ever been concerned with this on the PS3. Maybe it's because I don't play the PS3 as much or maybe it's because I don't care enough? Either way I just play the PS3 to play games.

I was a big achievement hunter on the Xbox, so it sort of carried over to my PS3 habits. No platinum trophies...yet.

I just a play a game through.Then when Im done Ill check the trophy list for that game and if I think there's a few easy ones to get that I missed I may go back and do them.But not if takes me hours and hours...nah...just mostly the quicker and easier ones after.

I am not really 100% trophy hunter however I do like to try and get some of them.

I don't have any platinum yet. Yea I know it sucks.. It is just I think there is always at least one achievement that is damn hard to get. Or there are some co op (online) achievements and then no one are playing at the time I am playing or they all leave or stuff like that. Annoying.

Ive always been a trophy hunter at heart until i realized that i didnt care that much about them. What i really cared about was getting as many trophies i could for games i really really liked like Mass Effect, GTA IV, and stuff like that. I feel like its more of a way to represent that you like a game a lot rather than to just get every trophy

I don't really trophy hunt. Actually, when I first started playing I had no idea what trophies were. Sometimes trophies would show up next to my name and I had no idea why. Now I know that you can look up online how to get certain trophies. It seems like most of the teenagers playing are extremely interested in getting trophies. However, I never saw the benefits in getting trophies.

I have never been in trophy hunting but after reading these posts, I may become a trophy hunter. I mean if I trophy hunt it will give me something to do after I beat the game. The only reason I have never trophy hunted is because it seems time consuming.
