EA would rather churn out more Battlefield than Give us Bad Company 3

Before I give you the direct quote that reminds me why gamers continue to vote for EA as one of the worst companies in the world, before I remind you that EA themselves are apparently confused as to why people hate them. Let me remind you that while Battlefield is fun and I do appreciate it, it doesn't have the heart that Bad Company does. We've been asking for this game for a long time and here is why EA is saying it will never happen and I quote: "When it comes down to the nitty gritty, big games are all about what can make the most money." FU EA.

EA Say's No Bad Company 3 Ever

Ill be getting bf4 black friday for 25, then if any dlc comes along in a year for cheap, ill jump on that. No need to miss out on an awesome game because they wont give you ANOTHER awesome game

Originally I bought BF3 for $60 then paid another $60 for dlc. Later that year I bought my son the complete BF3 game + DLC for $60. At best I found BF3 mediocre. There were some good parts but just as many bad parts. As far as the single player was I think I would have had about the same amount of fun playing dentist waiting room. The addition of paying to pad your stats just killed what ever fun I had managed to have. When I read that some guy through the use of codes and legitimate playing managed to rank up to 100 in around a week I just thought why bother to jump on BF4? I might as well wait until I can get it for $60 instead of $120.

One thing that is rather relevant from the article:
"When we did the original Bad Company and the sequel, we got a lot of criticism. ‘Why would I play this? It's not a serious shooter, I don't care about this. I want a serious shooter with a more hard-boiled angle.’ And we thought it was fun! We loved it; we thought it was a great game. The narrative was amazing and the characters were amazing.”

Another relevant thing is: A Business must be profitable.

Seriously I cannot consider EA the spawn of Satan just because they want to reap some return for their investment(s).

I picked up Battlefield 4 earlier this week.

Overall, I like it better than Call of Duty: Ghosts. Both games, though, have some things they can improve on.

What can BF4 improve on?

1) Pre-form squads for quick play: Right now, you can only invite people into a quick game you are in, or they can join you if you are in one. You cannot form up before game play and join together. The only options available right now, though, are subject to if there is room in the game.

2) A few bugs/crashes: I have yet to crash with Ghosts, but I do occasionally crash with BF4. Not a big deal for me. But for some people it's a deal breaker.

3) Slight lag in Conquest: It's a massive map of 32 vs 32.. Not surprised there is lag, but again, some people may be off put by this.

Graphics are, in my opinion, better than Ghosts.. you have interactive terrain (destroyable buildings, debris, etc...), also very well balanced Multiplayer maps.

No game is perfect. But BF4 is probably the better of the FPS' out there right now.

See thats where youre going about it all wrong. Dlc is supposed to ADD to the game. IF i buy DLC i wait until ive played campaign etc. Also, if you knew the game sucked why spend another 60 on it for your son?

Your other issue is youre playing for stats. If youre constantly chasing stats a game which allows you to buy your way into stats will never be good to you. Play for the enjoyment. play to kill time. Play when youre bored. Dont play to look at numbers.

If you want to look at your name with numbers on it i'll send you an excel sheet

Unfortunatly this is the case. I loved Bad Company 2 and have over 500 hours on it in total (360 and PC). But the way that EA's mind works is weird, and I hope that they will come to some sense and either start on the Bad Company series again, or make something new. Battlefield 4 was a huge let-down for me, just a reskin of Battlefield 3.
