Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Coming To PlayStation 4 Sooner Than You Expect

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is out this week on PC and PlayStation 3, but the MMORPG is also headed to the PlayStation 4 at some point in 2014.

While Square Enix haven’t specified just when in 2014 Final Fantasy XIV will be available for PlayStation 4, in a recent interview with 4Gamer, producer Naoki Yoshida shared that the PS4 version will be released sooner than you might expect.

Yoshida added that the transfer service is being worked on so players can feel comfortable playing the PS3 version of the game in the meantime.

I've liked the final fantasy series for quite a long time now, but I've grown bored of it. I remember the old-hardcore times when you used to have to grind your level up, and if you die - you loose a level. Which made me pull out my hair now and then, bash my head against the wall and so on. I dislike these kind of games now, but I used to love it. And I love it that final fantasy has changed.

This is one of the titles I'm most looking forward to. Final Fantasy has been a great franchise and has stood the test of time from console to console. With the new specs of the PS4, the creativity and potential is unlimited. I can't even imagine how this game is going to look, but it's guaranteed to be the one of the best looking games we've ever seen. Like I say for all PS4 games, I just hope they don't limit game play by trying to get too fancy with game design.

I can't say I'm even excited for this anymore. I dunno if it's the fact that the franchise has turned into something completely different or that I feel I've grown out of the MMO mold, I just don't know. It does look amazing though, and if I were 10 years younger or so this would be a great game to get addicted to.

I guess that is a nice thing to have for the next gen, i just hope they manage to get in par with the PC graphics, because they really look good and i would like the PS4 to have such kind of visuals.

I haven't played a Final Fantasy game since XIII and it was underwhelming. I've been looking to get into another Final Fantasy game for awhile now and I'll wait until the reviews of both games are out to see If I will try them out.
The E3 videos looked amazing though. Very high production values are usual.

Well, I am not that excited for any FF game to be honest. There are just way too many of them. Seriously, what the heck are the doing with this brand? I am not liking their approach at all.
