Final Tally - PS4 Outsells Xbox One "By A Longshot"

Just has expected.
Sony already proved that this year, they will own the console gaming, Microsoft will have to find a way to regain customers.

I'm not surprised. Although I love the XBOX360 and the PS2, I would never choose to buy the XBOX One on the same level or any higher than the PS4. The whole launch was a disaster, and we all know that. I didn't really give it a second chance for my own reasons, and I'm sure I won't be buying it regardless. All I need is a good gaming console. I don't care about the other components. I'm not too impressed with their line-up, so I think once I have the funds to purchase a new gen console, it'll be the PS4.

Who was really surprised by this? Ever since their disastrous reveal conference back in May things have not gone well for Micorsoft. Their PR department was a complete mess and just couldn't get the momentum that they needed to compete with the PS4 when it came to pre-orders. That being said, I don't want the Xbox One to fail but I can't quite keep the grin off of my face.

Im a manager at gamestop in Milwaukee Wisconsin. all are stores have more xbox one preorders then we had ps4's. Talked to my buddy that works at gamestop in cali, more ps4 preorders then xbox one. So its mostly different everywhere. We in Wisconsin are ranked #1 in video gamers, have the most pros from mlg in this state too.

I'm happy about this. Another generation of Xbox dominating would be awful for several reasons. I mean the hardware is already worse than PS4's, and PS4's hardware isn't too amazing (considering we're stuck with it for almost a decade now), so imagine having games developed on the worst console and later ported onto everything else. No thank you.

All that said though, does it really matter who dominates? The margin has never been drastic. Just play whatever console you enjoy the most, it's not going anywhere and it's not struggling at all, it's going to receive almost all the same games as the opponent and it's going to have plenty of players, so no need to worry too much.

As a Sony fan boy, I have to say, "AW YEAH!" It seriously will not surprise me. My uncle is a big fan of xbox but he said he's getting a ps4 when he gets the chance. He even told me those famous youtube gamers will probably only get an xbox one just to have variety in their videos for their viewers lmfao

I for one am still paranoid that they changed their stance to get consoles out the door, and will re-implement them once they get the consoles in your living room.

Oh it's very likely they will implement all of that stuff back in gradually once consumers have had their consoles for awhile and say it's for everyone's own good (in an improved PR tone).

...in a Microsoft tone: "We were always planning to implement what we had originally planned for Xbox One, it was just best to wait." In actual tone: "Ain't no one ask you if you wanted these features no one asked for or want."

It's not surprising that this happened. Microsoft bungled their launch, bungled the PR cleanup after the launch, screwed up their E3 conference, and except for the 180 haven't really done that much to install confidence in potential consumers. Besides I still think that their going to slowly reintroduce everything that made us made in the first place, so I'm not lining up to give them my money.
