Basically, terrible conference and very over-hyped. I'd say Microsoft won but they were both crap (they only won because of Tomb Raider).

What do you guys think?

Playstation Share is still a thing and is being talked about again, conference is a success as a result.

I'll say that Bloodbourne and PS Share were the only things I loved. The rest was meh. So disappointed in Media Molecule.....

How can you be disappointed in MM? They once again showed off LBP3, save this time they introduced some new features. And Tearaway on the PS4 looks wonderful; I am especially fond of the way the game breaks the fourth wall, so to speak. What more could you have wanted and or expected? A new IP?

Well LBP3 isn't made by Media Molecule and I was expecting a new IP from them. Tearaway looks great (vita version) but this feels just like a port with some more added features. When they appeared at E3 (can't remember if it was this year or last) and they were using the Move and stuff, I was expecting something awesome to rival their creation of LBP. Alas that didn't happen but I suppose it isn't terrible to remake Tearaway (apparently it sold badly on Vita).

It looks like a new adventure to me despite being the same adventure... if that makes any sense. Also in regards to something to rival LBP, why would they create a game to compete with their baby? They might not be working on this latest installment, but one would think that at this point they would either want to add to it--they are assisting on LBP3--or move beyond it into a new realm. Perhaps to focus on something more story driven, not creation driven? Or a bit of both. Seems odd to want two games that give you the opportunity to endlessly create both the game and its story.

Yeah wasn't anything amazing. As usual, more PS3 games coming to the PS4 but hey - I'm sounding like a broken record everytime I complain lol.

A bit of a letdown for me. They used the exact same format as E3. Bloodborne looked amazing and definitely can't wait. Order 1886 didn't show anything new, the highlight was the Firmware 2.0 announcement but Sony screwed up the stream so didn't hear some of the features but still no revamp of the UI. PS Share is useless to me since it only benefits friends. Wild looked interesting, the visuals are so beautiful. From what I made out of Until Dawn, if it's another one of those hide and seek horror games ala Outlast then I'll pass.

No surprise announcement like Microsoft did with Tomb Raider, it was a negative surprise but still made an impression.

Bloodborne looks amazing.

Wild looks pretty interesting as well.

Driveclub continues to look amazingly pretty.

Hellblade and Day Z also could be rather good.

I'd say both conferences were underwhelming but didn't watch either live. :slp

I'm not sure there is a winner as for me new IP > old franchise turned exclusive (or timed exclusive whatever you believe)

Would have been nice to see more Uncharted 4 though :(

Day Z is good news, as is the announcement of The Order 1886 (a game that's seemingly forever 'in development' and never ready to launch) but other than that from the opening thread, everything else I've either never heard of or have no interest in…

I have quite a bit of interest in DriveClub – but I'm really not interested in the social/multiplayer aspect. Will it be available as a single player game at all…? If so, this could very well be what sways me into finally purchasing a PS4. This is me however - so it all depends on an available bundle and decent price, of course…!

I actually tweeted the devs director Paul Rustchynsky and he confirmed you can play the whole game as single player.

"Absolutely. You can play through the entire single player campaign with no online connection."

Am amazed he replied but got some people following me on twitter for a while thinking I was an insider!! :rofl

Don't get me wrong, what I mean is in regards to when they created LBP, it was something new and fresh. I was expecting something in that sense to blow me away. When they announced Tearaway on Vita I liked the look of it but felt it was just a gimmicky game. I feel like they are doing the same with the PS4 version.

I was not impressed at all, but there were some E3 things that looked good that will be coming out, so gamescom doesn't matter.

I do not get the Day-Z announcement. The PC game is still in Early Access... why is there even talks about a PS4 title? That does not seem to make much sense to me. If the PS4 game releases before the PC version is finished I will not buy it out of ethical principal.

I would be surprised if that happened. I agree the announcement doesn't make a lot of sense right now. The mod is still better than the standalone at this point. My question is - isn't H1Z1 a direct competitor?
