Ok boys and girls. Have moved from the xbox to PS4. Looking forward to it. I do have a very dumb question. After I get the system set up, is it fairly simple to enter my SEN code and get up and running for on-line play??

Yes it's fairly simple

Go to Settings > PSN > (sign-in if required) > Account Information > Wallet > Add Funds.
From the options available select Code.
Enter the 12 characters of the code and follow the on-screen prompts to redeem your code.

Thanks KMJ-84. Gotta admit. Other than in the store, I've never used a PS before. Loved the feel of it. Will need to get used to the different buttons etc but should be fun.

Give it a week or so and you'll be familiar with the system. IMO the PS4 is much more user-friendly than it's rival
