Have you ever broken a controller?

It's kind of funny, I used to be a lot angrier so yes I have broken a controller. The only controller I ever broke was an Original Playstation controller. It didn't get to the point where it didn't work, but I definitely had to do some repairs on it. It's mostly because I play RPGs and at the time I had much less patience than I do now. Being a teen that tends to be the case. Now I've learned how hard it is to earn money so I'm much more careful with my equipment.

This is a funny thread. Yes, I've broken a few controllers in my day. The main thing that made me hurl a controller down to the floor in frustration was a cheap online player in a fighting game. Ugh! I remember breaking a nice turbo controller once. I had a funny tantrum like a little kid over a lost match online in WWE Smackdown vs Raw.

I have broke a couple of generic controllers out of rage before. I have broken the L2 and R2 buttons on a madcats control at the same time. I just squeezed them a little too hard the plastic that holds the L2 and R2 buttons cracked.

Ummm....how do I explain this first my controller's analog got broken because of Battlefield 3.Second my little brother keeps throwing it everywhere and the third reason is it wont re-charge with out you twisting, turning and rotating everything just for it to charge and the reason we don't have anything to replace it because my family is just poor (not that super poor).

But still I love my life not because of the game but because of the people I share or live with and hope you guys and girls are also contented of what you have.

this is also my first post if you see anything wrong im sorry.

Of course, it is inevitable especially if you play daily. I broke around 2 controllers (PS1 and PS3) not because their quality sucks but just because of daily use.

I have broken a PS3 controller because of FIFA online match, luckily I picked up one on my desk and it wasn't dual-shock so I wasn't too bummed. After that I usually just ended up throwing something else across the room when someone scored a lame, pass in front of the keeper, goal in the 90th minute.

i broke my controller once yeah lol. i was getting addicted to this game and there was a certain part of the game that i couldnt beat and i got frustrated and walked away and tried to throw the controller on the chair but i missed and it fell on the floor and never worked the same again.

No, never. 1st party controllers are really expensive to replace, and I have no idea how mad you have to be to break one.

Honestly I can't afford to break controllers and I would be disgusted with myself if I did. To break one really is saying that I am out of control and I don't like walking that road.

The only controllers I've ever had break were because of the faulty wiring of some logitech pc controllers. Otherwise, I've never really had that problem.

No, not out of anger, I've broken them just from to much use, but that's it. I remember my uncle whipping the controllers at the TV screen when he was mad, when I was a lot younger, surprisingly never broke one though, I think the ones we owned we invincible.

I don't think I play enough on my modern consoles to break anything, but I wore many a nub off an N64 stick. They also tended to get hurled thanks to mario kart and goldeneye games.

I've broken a dual shock 3 before, felt pretty silly after the fact though, likely won't let a game get to me again.
Playing assassins creed 2 lol, he wasn't jumping the way I wanted him to, 10-12 tries later I was fuming lol.

Yes I did. Not a PS controller though but an NES controller, God knows how many I bashed out of sheer frustration when I was a kid. I did however tossed a PSX controller out of excitement when I beat True Ogre in Tekken 3 for the first time.

I have broken a many of controller in my day, PS ones included. It all started with Nintendo old school controllers. I would slam my console back then but I would not do it to a PS or any other newer PS consoles. I have always thought that developers should come out with some kind of rubber casing to go around a controller so that when do get slammed that they will not break as easy.

I have never bashed mine, but the PS4 L3 buttons on both my controllers are losing responsiveness quickly. Wonder if there is an easy fix?

No. I actually still have my PS1 controller, and it does still work! However, I am sure that I broke some controllers in the past, like SNES or something. Nothing that I can remember though.

Numerous times. I have been through so many controllers simply because sometimes I just could not control my anger and I just slammed the controller to the floor. Sometimes I would be so angry at a game that I would take out the disk and break it. I must say that since the PS I have calmed down a lot with that because one thing that I was beginning to notice is that it was beginning to cost me some money and it did not make any sense for me to just be destroying games simply because I was angry.
