Have You Ever Gotten Bored With A Console After A While?

Have you ever played on a console so much, that you got bored with it. This happened with me in regards to my Nintendo Gamecube. It got to the point where i beaten all the games that i had for the system and just had no desire to play on it anymore.

After playing with the PS2 for more than 10 years, I've finally thrown in the towel and called it quits. If I play the PS2, it'll only be for a few hours but that's basically it. Now I prefer to play games on my laptop as well as my desktop.

Happens to me and the Xbox 360. I go through phases where I game on one console excessively to the point of being bored with the console. It happens more times on the 360 then it does for the PS3 though.

It happens to me many times, everything I play for a long time, I will eventually get bored of it. Whether it's the PS3, Xbox 360, or even PC, I will get bored at times until I won't do anything anymore. I haven't touched my PS3 or my 360 in about a week now, but that will eventually change when the PS4 releases.

I think it happens to everyone, actually. Earlier this year I decided to buy a PS3 (finally), but mainly for the Bluray player and the ability to watch Netflix without paying for Xbox Live on my 360. Since it had been a long time since the PS3 came out, and quite some time since my PS2 died on me (which was before I got my first 360), I was drawn away from my 360 for a while. I have close to 30 games for the 360, some of which I've played several times, but I suppose I was bored of the system as a whole after ~3 years of only playing it. Now it's about four months since I bought my PS3 and I'm back to playing my 360, so it didn't last all that long, I suppose. I like variety, though, and having two consoles lets me buy the less expensive third-party games for one or the other.

Yeah, I think it happens to everyone at some point in time. It pretty has nothing to do with the console but mostly the games that are being released at the time. Like right now for me I don't have any interest in a lot of games on the market right now so naturally I don't play my PS3 very often, if at all. To be honest, the only games I'm looking forward to are the HD versions of the Kingdom Hearts games and the HD release of Final Fantasy X/X-2.

I'm feeling bored with my 360. The reason is that I love RPG experiences and the PS 3 really capitalized on that market. The Xbox didn't get anything for it. I have Dark Souls but that's also on PS 3 and my buddy lent me his copy so I have it to play on my other TV. Though its nice to have multiple consoles, this generation has taught me to just stick with the PS 4 until something more compelling comes along.

I'm completely bored with my Xbox 360, don't know why I just lost interest. I only play my PS3 now and use my Xbox only to play games with my friends that have Xbox.

Pretty much bored of my 360 but its nice to have as an option I guess. :/

I got bored with my PSP for a while back then. I didn't touch it for about a year even though I didn't really have any other game console back then. I think I mostly just got a little tired of gaming in general for a while and not really just with the PSP. I eventually picked it back up though and after finding new games I could play on it I was immediately hooked again because a lot of PSP games are great.

I also got bored with my Wii real quick, it was fun for only a short time.

It happened to me and my Wii after only a few months. Though, admittedly, that's less because I played on it too much and more because I felt like a goof whenever I played on it. I had the hardest time staying coordinated with the system. Maybe I just needed more practice, but it was pretty irritating.

For a time I just didn't want to play my PS3.
I had played my PS3 a lot since I got it a little after launch but the last couple of months I just didn't really care to play it.
I recently started playing Splinter Cell HD Trilogy and that has got me back onto it.

Happens all the time I guess, I get something, play it very intensely and then burn out and not touch the console for months until I get the urge to play it again. I've not touched my PSP for well over a year now, but it's always out there in case I would want to play it.
