HDMI to RCA apadter

Hi guys

*This is not a duplicate for my other post HDMI to VGA adapter. I need info about both cables...*

I'm planning to buy a ps4, and i saw that i can only use it with an HDMI cable (which comes with the product). But my TV doesn't have an HDMI port. So i was suggested to buy an adapter. My questions is do i need HDMI to RCA or RCA to HDMI? And Male to Female or Female to Male...?

This is an adapter from ebay, is it suitable?

Actually I think those cables will only work if your TV is HD as well as it cannot convert the HDMI digital signal to analog,it only transmits the signal.

If you are after a HDMI with RCA/AV at the other end to get the picture you would need something like this:

What are the specs of your TV? Will it even be able to view the picture coming from a PS4? Personally I would put the money for a PS4 into a modern TV, then save up for the PS4. You are going to have a very degraded picture by trying to convert the signal to work on a non HD TV.

What other specs should i check? Why wouldn't it be able to view the picture coming from a PS4?

Because looks like it cannot accept a HD digital signal,its analog only,as Im guessing its an older CRT TV right?
And as I said,because of that you would need a signal converter box like the one I pictured above.

A signal converter box like the one you pictured is not a problem. I'll get one.
It's a Hitachi C29-TF750S TV [so yes, CRT TV] (please search google for that and visit the first result, i can't post links yet on this forum).
