Buying a ps4 for my boy, age 11 for Xmas and need game ideas.

Want to make sure that we choose games he can play w a friend

Want to avoid violence

He's a big sports fan, particularly nfl & soccer. Now, I haven't gamed since techno bowl days & most online info related to the madden series presupposes years of knowledge. I want to make sure he can pick a team, I can pick a team & we can play each other - is this possible in M15? Or is it all about online play against others ...

Hey there and welcome back to gaming You can play every sport game with just co op in the house. I recommend NBA2k15 or FIFA 15 if you're looking for basketball/soccer. If you haven't played since techmo bowl than you will be jaw dropped at the improvements made in the last 20 years.

Another great game for co op, and it will be out next Tuesday, is Little Big Planet 3. I have owned the first two and is one of the few games that got my wife interested for more than an hour. It works well with co op and even has level creators that add to the amount of things you can do. There are also a few Lego games that are great for co op but not sure what you consider violent. There is a lot of hack and slashing type action.

I'd also recommend "Minecraft: Playstation 4 Edition". Great game to play with family members or friends. Gets your creative juices going and seems perfect for a 11 year old

one more question -- are the bundles on the market now typically all we'll see before xmas, or will a bunch more be forthcoming in the next few weeks? (canadian market)
