Ok so I have been doing some searching and havent been able to find information about this anywhere. It seems there is a huuuuge lack of options when it comes to voice chat settings on the PS4.
When playing splitscreen on the same ps4 with 2 different profiles signed in there is a huge problem with how voice chat works:
The mic only works for the first player. Even with the chat settings setup to output through the headset, only the first player can hear/talk to the other players in the game. This problem is compounded by the fact that if the first player has their headset plugged in, trying to use it only for voice chat, there is no option to run the voice chat through both the headset and the speakers.
This is a serious problem when trying to play any game that involves some sort of teamwork, with two people on the same ps4 because the only options are to unplug the mic completely, causing the voice chat to come through the speakers but leaving us mute to our teammates, or for the first player to use the mic, and just translate what everyone is saying to the person sitting next to them, which is really annoying/impossible at times.
Just wondering if there is some menu somewhere to change this that I am missing, and if not if you could think about addressing this issue in an upcoming update.
