How do I hook up my PS4 to my surround sound?

I have the HDMI cable going to my tv, but I don't know what to do about the surround sound. It only has RCA inputs so do I just need a digital optical cable and get a Coaxial Digital to RCA L/R Analog Audio Converter?

Hey Zq8, if its me i'll connect the hdmi from the playstation 4 directly to your receiver. Then using your receiver hdmi out connect that to the TV. Then you'll need to go into you sound and screen settings and then to your audio output settings. From their you can set it to what you want bitstream vs linear. Alternatively, you can use the Optical out on your tv to go to your receiver and connect the ps4 directly to the TV. Some people don't prefer it that way because the TV downgrades the signal sometimes to a lower less channel stream. We can all thank HDMI DRM for that.

Then the other method is the perfered method anyways. Go from your ps4 to your receiver than out from your receiver to the TV. Let me know if you need more help.
