How many PS3 consoles have you been through?

Bought 4, Got 4. Never had a problem with sony. Still got a PS2 fat running in the basement as well.

I'm a lucky one. I bought my console seven years ago and this old beast still works. All my friend go though two to five PS3. It's fun to compare mine (the big one) with the slim now.

I've only had one PS3. I wouldn't say I was lucky so much as I threatened children than their parents would buy me a new PS3 and they'd have no Christmas or birthday parties that year if they kept running through the house.

I actually still have the first PS3 I purchase. I am very careful who I let play with it. Small children are not allowed unless I know and have seen that they know what they are doing. Plus, I am very delicate with it since I bought it using my money. But I am like that with all my consoles and games.

I've been using the same PS3 I got about five years ago. It still runs smoothly and looks new. I haven't had any problems except for an occasional lag every now and then. I'm not sure what's causing this problem, but it doesn't kill the mood or anything. I hope to keep it for a few more years to come!

I'm on my second one. The problem with the first one is that it was fairly old, we got it a long time ago, not too long after it first came out. Of course, it kept doing the red light of death, and after enough times, we just got a new one. We're able to get it fixed by a friend, but every few months it just RLOD's again. So atm it's not working.

I've bought two different PS3 consoles. The first was a phatty at launch which cost me over 600 dollars if I remember correctly. That broke about 3 years later and I purchased a PS3 slim. The slim only works half the time that I use it now. It isn't able to read every disc. But on certain days it reads every disc.

How many consoles have you purchased? Have you sent any out for repair? Anyone go the refurbished route and if so did you have any luck?

I still had the original PS3 i bought when they just came out, worked great up until I sold it to buy a PS 4, you have no luck with consoles it seems

I'm still on the first console and hopefully I can keep it like that. I am on my second controller though, I like the one that I have now much better than the first one.

Could sworn I had posted in here before but...

We've gone through a lot. But that's because we buy a lot as well. Like, a lot but in all cases we've only ever had to return each console once, at most. So we're probably actually pretty lucky to be fair.

Thankfully I have only been through the one console, and it has lasted me well even till now. I currently still play on it, and I believe it just a mixture of luck and taking care of the console that has allowed it to last this long. With the new release of PS4, it may well come to point to part with it although considering what to do with it. Should I sell it or keep it, as the PS4 is not backwardly compatible as far as my knowledge goes, so would be nice to crack out some old games a few years from now for nostalgic purposes.

If we're being technical here I've been through around 4. My fat PS3 broke down one year after I got it. I then got a slim and the fat PS3 was sent off to be fixed. My slim PS3 then encountered a problem, an online problem, one week into having it so I got it exchanged at the store which is unusual as usually they inst it gets sent away to Sony under the auto one year rule. So that's me on slim PS3 number three which had a major bug after a couple months and was under warranty so I did a sony swap deal, where they take your old one, repair it and give you a repaired replacement, all done within 30 seconds.

So yeah 4, Never had any issues since.

I'm predicting you will be giving us an update in about a week ;)

their failure rate is terrible (still on my original though, touch wood) but the console itself certainly is not.

The console is not as bad as its failure rate but still, it's reached its maximum graphical capability, there are no ground-breaking titles coming out in the near future and its specification out-of-the-box doesn't even touch the PS 3.

i have one ,that is pc ,now i want to buy another on ,xbox one or ps4 ,i don't know which one is best ,my friends recommend me to buy ps4 ,he bought it from fifa1314
