How much money have you spent on your PS3 games?

Hubby didn't buy his PS3 until 2009 and while looking through his games , I just realized he has spent about 750 dollars easily on these games he owned. I don't think it's a whole lot considering he has had it for years and he does still play some of them such as God of War3, Heavy Rain, FF XIII ,Yakuza 3, The last of US, Demon Souls,etc. We both also have subscription with World of warcraft that we pay monthly on top of that,PS4 is pretty tempting so far for him .He's been hinting as his gift . he said he didn't have any regret of all the games he has purchased so far so it's a good thing I suppose. So, I was wondering

How much have you guys spent on your PS3 games alone?

On the games alone I think about $800
However I also have a PS+ subscription which I have got a lot of games from. At least I have had the PS+ for 1 year and 4 months so I there is worth for a lot of games through there. I have played most of the games I have got from PS+ some of them were a bit bad though.

Oh God. That question scares me. If I had to think real hard about it, probably the same as Fleexie - around $800. I never buy games when they release (I always wait for the price drop) except for a couple games. I think the last full price game I bought was Borderlands 2 when that released.

To be honest i have spent about £200 but i sold a lot so about £300 was taken off that amount overall £500 which is more than i payed for my ps3 all together :L

A lot. Close to $800 like what you guys said. Between buying a few controllers, PSPlus and several games I've broken the bank several times. It's scary to think about but I kind of don't have any regrets. It's my hobby after all.

Lets just say I have spent quite a bit. Probably as much as the console. Bought two controllers, a headset, dvd remote for PS3, several games. Oh god I have spent a lot. I always wait for prices to drop so it isn't much of a bang to me. Also it is sprea out over months so it is not that bad when I think about it. Money well spent.

Seeing how i always buy my games when they are the cheapest, let's say each game is around $30. I have 21 retail games (not even going to count the digital games), so that would make around $630, so not that much i guess.

I just did the math, and it's over $800 for most of my PS3 games (without tax). That includes digital stuff like Journey, and collections like the GoW collection. Didn't think it would be that much...

It makes me cringe to think about how much money i've spent on games for the PS3 alone. Right now, i'm at a collection of ~50 games. Multiple that by roughly $60 ea, and that comes to around $3000. That could have still been in my savings.

I've probably spent about $500-700. I tend to sell my games after I've finished them because Gamestop gives you an okay deal if it's still new or on they're most wanted list. Also, I have a buddy who's a much bigger gamer than I am so I just borrow the games from him.
And OP, do you guys have a PS+ membership? It's pretty good value considering the free games and discounts you get.

Wow... I couldn't even begin to imagine how much money I have spent on PS3 games or anything for it in general! I'm also not sure I want to know how much I spent. $60 a game when new and I own a lot of games! Then add in controllers and additional accessories. In the end it's all worth it, my PS3 has entertained me, my kid, and many of my friends and my kids friends for hours!

I don't know exactly but I have spent around more than 1000 dollars on my playstation 3. I own nearly fifteen games and I bought each of them for around 50 to 60 dollars, then I have changed my controller two times and have bought many accessories too. But now the time has come to forget all these and spend money on the all new playstation 4. I guess that playstation 4 games will be even more costly than the playstation 3 games, so we will have to save money from now itself to enjoy gaming on the playstation 4.

Hm..I'd prefer to not even think about it. It must be around $1,500 to $2,000. I own more games for the PS3 than any other console. I didn't realize how much I had spent on the games until I just did the math in my head to respond to this thread. It's kind of scary when you consider the aggregate total spent for a console that is about to give way to its successor.

Ummmm....*does some quick math*. Probably about 500 bucks. I didn't play a whole lot of games from last generation, just the A listers, but I never feel like I wasted my money at all, so I'm happy with my purchases.

I'm with everyone here, I roughly spent $500 on average as well, probably. Although I do not consider it to be too much as I did get to buy a lot of those games on discount so I've gotten so much out of that amount. Furthermore, I've used my existing games to make temporary trades with all of my friends, so it has also given me an opportunity to play games that aren't in my library which is pretty cool.

As I have a friend who works for SCEE and gets me most of the games, only ones I buy are actually Fifa, and a couple of non SCEE produced titles, so I would say, 250$ overall, during this 4yr of playing.

I've only had my PS3 since 2 years ago but I've gotten like 700$ worth of games and the system was about 250$ so probably at least 1000$.. Wow now that I think about it that's actually a lot. I guess it was a good investment though because I've played countless hours on it.
