iPhone or not?

Well guys I'm a life long android user but I'm thinking to get an iPhone 6.
I like the design, iOS8 seems fine and the camera is amazing.

So I would like to hear your opinions about this move, specially if you have experience switching from android to iOS.

The iPhone is an excellent product and Apple company has been a pioneer for the smartphones. I have an old iPhone 3G, the first serie, and it still works very good.
I'd not buy a new one though because if you have an iPhone you will marry Apple, because its OS isn't compatible with anything except Apple products and softwares.
Android based devices are much more versatile and compatible. Just my opinion.

Im sure IOS devices are great to use etc its just that its too restrictive.
Android is better in this regard being open source.

I agree. That's the reason I don't like Apple products. Way too damn restrictive. Open source all the way.

don, can you get an iPhone in Iran? Figured since it's American and I know since our governments....well hate each other, the US doesn't export to Iran.

Well technically we shouldn't have American stuff, but we do, because Iran is a great market and companies want to make profit. :P
Although we dont have official representative from Apple or Dell in Iran, so they make deals through Dubai or Europe offices usually. Also the sanctions regarding telecommunications lifted 2 years ago, so the restrictions we had previously(not being able to connect to itunes or google play from within Iran) is now gone.

One reason that I wanna switch from Android is that I got a bit bored with the OS, same with my laptop which I wanna switch from Windows to Mac for change.

Ah cool. Thanks for the info. See, American media doesn't show that side of the story. American media wants us to believe your country is full of religious fundamentalists who cut off peoples heads and want nukes to blow up half the middle east. Gotta love Fox News, CNN and MSNBC (American media is a joke and a half). Sad thing is, idiots in my country actually believe that crap instead of taking the time to learn. And I did a little digging and apparently Boeing is now selling aircraft parts and manuals to Iran. Learn something new every day :)

I'd still go with Android to be honest. I've played around on iPhones and I don't see too much difference between the two OS's except iTunes you have to buy everything and Android you can get stuff for free since it's open source. And if you're bored with the OS, get onto some guides online on how to jailbreak your Android and go nuts changing things. Great thing about Android is you're allowed to do that :)

Our news is the same, I'm starting to wonder if all news are lies :P politics are ruining relationships between people around the world. Anyway based on the forums policy we should not discuss political stuff :P

Back to the topic, I already installed custom launchers on my android, I might wait to see what interesting phones show up in MWC and decide then :)
one android phone that interest me is HTC one m8, but because of poor camera I deleted off my list, maybe m9 can do better?

Haha. Starting to realize news is full of lies? And I agree, politics ruin relationships. But this is the wonderful thing about the internet. Those international borders get torn down and "enemies" can in fact find common ground. Hey, if you want to discuss this further, feel free to PM me. I'm all for a good political and philosophical discussion. After all, good discussions help you to find truth in the world :)
