PS4 iPhone and Android Companion Apps Available Now!

As the launch of the PS4 draws in closer Sony has started to release it's launch day software. Both the Apple Store and the Google Play Store now have the PlayStation apps ready for download. While still very basic both versions will let you check out games, see your friends latest activities, check out trophies, invitations and show game alerts with push notifications. I downloaded the Google version (which is kinda boring being I don't yet have a PS4) and it reminds me of the Sony Store on the PS Vita but with a little more functionality. That's neat looks like its basically a psn network on the go. Going to have to grab it this week. You can basically track your friends status with this so i guess its a great way to figure out if anyone you know is already gaming. Wonder if in gaming use a tablet will require this?

Not available for AUS yet googleplay yet,unless someone can back the app up and link to it.

and Frantic: I already have an app that lets me see who is playing online without me signing in.

Will have to inform my friends on this, they’re always on each other’s throats with competitions and bragging rights still. I guess having this app will convince people to have better communication with clans on the go rather than going back and forth through laptop and console.

This sounds like it could be kind of cool. It would make keeping up with the latest gaming news, and what all your friends are up to gaming wise pretty easy. I just happen not to know too many people with Playstations anymore so I feel like I wouldn't really be able to get the full affect of the app. Interesting post though!

I tried it, and for the moment'', it seems to work well. It will be a great tool for the PS4. I love the fact that you can now send messages to the phones.

I would have liked a feature that includes being able to participate in party chat with the application.

By cons, it is impossible for me that I bought a game with my phone. It's risky and I prefer the PC or console.

The Interface is beautiful and fluid. This is very similar to the interface of the PS4.
I am satisfied with Sony.

** I'm really happy that Sony has innovated in the interface as opposed to the Xbox One who keeps an interface similar to Windows 8 and 360.
It allows to realize that we really going to anything other innovative.

Just downloaded it and it looks really nice.
The interface not only looks nice but it's also functional. It certainly looks like it's going to be a great tool for the PS4.

This sounds like a handy app. I think integration here is a good thing, I will definetely be downloading this App, I had no idea about this until now, cool
