Is Capcom making another Resident Evil game?

We haven't really heard anything at all but I expect a Resident Evil 7 with a creepy motif maybe like Revelations did.. I think it really depends on if the REmake rerelease sells well or not..

Yes, there's been news that Capcom is working on Resident Evil 7. Not sure when they will announce it though. However, Capcom has already announced that they are releasing the Resident Evil Remake Remaster. It's the remaster of the Resident Evil Remake on the Nintendo came out a long time ago.

I think Capcom will be waiting to see if the remake of the original game will be a success or not before fully committing to another new Resident Evil title. If it does well, I think they'll commit. As for a release date - who knows...? If they don't, I think they'll probably call it a day on the series which would be disappointing, but not overly surprising.
If any new game it's anything like 5 or 6, I can say here and now that I probably won't enjoy it. They just haven't been Resident Evil games to me. To me, the latest seemed very much like an all new game just with a few familiar faces thrown into yet another FPS (or third person, rather) environment. Resident Evil isn't about that – it's survival horror of which the first three games done extremely well. It started to go downhill after there in my opinion… I don't think people's tastes change, Capcom took the game away from what it's early purchasers/fanbase enjoyed to those who value graphics and endless interactive cutscenes over actual gameplay and plot.
About the closest thing we've had to a modern-day 'proper' Resident Evil in my opinion are the two Outlast games.
I really hope Capcom will have it another go with an all new game and take the game back to it's roots. If they can get it half way back to a game where you had to find your weapons/bullets, dodge zombies to survive and find puzzles that took a while to resolve (several pieces scattered all over the place e.t.c) – count me in.
