No way.. they managed to sell 1 million units in North America alone. I believe that is the most successful launch ever (in terms of pure sales). Hopefully the amount of issues isn't that high, but, with a lot of launches, there are usually defects. Hopefully it's not on the scale of the RRoD or the DRE.
I believe I heard Sony is aiming to sell 5 million units by the end of March of 2014. It's an ambitious number but consider how well they've done so far, I think it's doable.
